One of the "Dirty Harry" movies with Clint Eastwood has a cool chase with a couple of '60's Triumphs.
Didn't he also chase some rouge cops on a police Harley? After the one rode off the pier and crashed into the bay, I love it when he looks down and mutters, "Briggs was right.. you guys DO need more practice!"
The bad guys were riding 1971 Moto Guzzi 750s but during the stunt scene, it changes to a 650 Triumph. The beginning scene of this movie looked just like the beginning of the popular "Wild 7" comics in Japan when in an 1969 introduction scene, a renegade motorcycle police force stopped a mob boss in a car and just blew him and his associates away with a shotgun (Dirty Harry scene used a gun). The main differences is that in the Wild 7, the renegade police cyclists are heroes. Hey, "Magnificent 7" was copied from "The Seven Samurais" so why not "Dirty Harry:Magnum Force" copied from "Wild 7"?, which itself was a modern motorcycle version of the " The Seven Samurais". They made a TV series about "Wild 7" during the early 1970s but they were riding 1972 Suzuki GT750s. In the original 1969 comics, the lead man rode a 650 Triumph, then CB750s after 1970. They made an animated version during the 1990s which featured the original custom white CB750 police bike. I recently converted one of my CB750 into one, but naturally kept all the parts to bring it back to stock.
