Back to the problem...
Here's what we know (correct me if I get anything wrong):
-It was running fine.
-Then, out of the blue, it dies in the middle of the street.
-Turning the key doesn't do anything, you say "nothing lights up."
Here's what little I know (and will take the liberty of speculating a bit):
If nothing lights up, then it smells like it's an electrical problem.
If it was running fine, and all of a sudden doesn't run, then the problem is such that it occurs in a very rapid fashion. Keep this in mind. A perfect example is a wire that all of a sudden breaks, or a wire that has worked itself juuuust loose enough to prevent current from flowing or a blown fuse.
I feel pretty confident that it's electrical though.
And I agree with scondon, it can't hurt to check the fuses again. I usually start with the easiest stuff first.
