sure thing. Might be a few days because i am waiting on parts to come in tomorrow and then i have to put on the new handlebars and cut holes for the controls, and finally finish painting my controls. Just posted a thread on that :) but will post pics as soon as i can.

I am incredibly dumb with electronics.  I have a set of small red LED lights that are used as "markers" on semi's, etc. I want to run them on the rear as turn signals but my dad is telling me they will not work as turn signals, only on/off lights.  basically saying they can't "flash" ...anyone?

With all due respect to you Dad. A turn signal is an on and off light.

They will work but you will need a differant flasher, at least a 3 prong one the LEDs don't produce enough resistance to trip the 2 prong  turn signal flashers

I am going to use a Led Marker light as well and I am in the middle of building the harness I'll let you know when it's working.

Mark is correct. however if you mix LED and filament bulbs, they will flash.

those are the 1156 amber

http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Turn-Signal-LED/Amber-LED/SUPER-AMBER-36-LED-CIRCUIT-p4481161.html

those are the 1157  amber

these are good prices $9.99 a piece best price i've seen sooo far!!!

on the 1157 that would be perfect for the front turn signals!!! on that site... they have HID lights for $99 they have a "slim" blast and the light bulb is 35W which is about 2.7 amps VS the stock bulb which is about 4.4amps! thats awesome compare that with the LED lights and you would be in fat city! there would be almost NO drain on the battery and charging system!!! that would be awesome!

Right on ya i'm just trying to find ways to save Amps on the charging system i figured that if i got it low enough i might be able to run some accessories it already seems MUCH better! just with the tail light! when i hit the brake my lights no longer dim when at idle so i know that there is very little drain!

there is the video of the LED brake light and the flasher!!!

the flasher has 36 different modes you can select from to change up your brake light flash pattern! and you can use this on a regular 1157 (stock) bulb!

the picture is of the flasher unit i followed the instructions that came with it and then used double sidded tape to stick it to the plastic inner fender! the 2 hanging white wires are how you short the unit to change the modes!!!

http://www.3rdbrakeflasher.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65

that is the link for the flasher it was only $19.95

its makes a HUGE difference on the visibility of the brake i went out and looked at it and it just blowes you away the flash mode its really attention getting!

for a few years I have been using a "back off" flasher on my bikes and the 3rd brake light on my cars, and they really help get peoples attention. The ones I used are from Signal Dynamics and the standard one sells for 25-35 and the LED specific one is a few dollars more.

OK! soo i thought that it was really hoookey to "short" 2 wires together to switch the "modes" on the flasher unit so i got a Momemtarry switch (Normally open) and i drilled a hole in the support near the unit! and soldered the wires onto the switch! so here is it! also instead of doing the lame connections that it came with (butt connectors are for ButT heads!!!) i soldered all the connections!!

Thanks Andy!! I have been trying to always make more modern improvemtns to this bike with out sacrificing the "look" of the bike i always have liked the vintage look of the cb750 i've gotten comments about the outdated pin striping and how it looks gawdy :( but i tell them thats how it came in 77 its the 70's look ya they make retro bike all the time but they always add the current times styling that part i dont like (ie mustang... camero... vette)

lots of great info in this thread.

kind of along the same lines,

i've decided to go with a dual intensity LED brake light, and 2 rear regular filament signals in the back.
the turn signals will not blink, they simply go on, then i have to click them back off.

i'm not sure if hooking a resistor up in front is the way to go (since i'm electrically inept)
trying to avoid signals in the front for a cleaner look. i know lot of guys have done it on there bikes.
