Hi Friends, Long time, no see.
Just tossing out there that I have one of MReick's big blocks with pistons (unused), along with one of his stage 4 heads, and a bunch of other fancy bits I think I am going to sell.  I'll be posting in the for sale section, but thought I'd mention it here too, since it's kinda specific.  Feel free to PM me.

What other fancy bits fang? One of these blocks would be killer in my race bike, but I only need 62mm holes.

I have basically everything one would need to build the dream bike that I fell out of love with:  a 1969 sandcast CR750 replica with all the very best go-fast modern race bits....

And now I don't know what to do with it all.   ::)

Those parts are perfect on a street bike giving younger guys with modern bikes a match on the road making them to twist the throttles more than they expected!
Add an APE ultra crank, carbs and good chains too ;)

For all those with the billet block, what exhaust system have you used?
I have a Carpy 4 into 1. Its light, fits well, though perhaps a bit loud. It was also very reasonably priced, especially as there was a special offer on at the time of purchase. I'm not a particular fan of 4 into 1 exhaust systems, but this seemed too good an opportunity to miss. Just curious as what others have used. Standard? M-Tec Chukyo? There must be plenty of other options.

3 street bikes with fat cylinders!
- 4 with Mike's... Which pipe do you have now, Mike? Still in the hunt for the few remaining ponies to 110 wild at rear? 8)

We all 4 have our bikes ready for street 2019? (Mine is)
I'll add Dyno chart when I have done it. My old shop has moved and not got it running yet so I might use another.  A Harley tuner.

I did not added photo last time. Here are some.  The Hindle 4-2-1 is very light! I have forgot where I put the note after weighing it. Headers almost nothing, very thin. The muffler weigh much more.  They say 13 lbs (5.9 kg) packed , ready to ship. It might have been 4.1 kg.

This pipe did not allow stock passenger foot peg mounts. I found alternative at Yamiya when investing in parts to my K2. Important to view all their goods when order, always some forgotten and/or unknown part(s) needed.

The Hindle has a darker tone and not that screaming loud as my old 4-1 despite it has a gaping hole all the way. It's sound reminds me about a Ducati for a while when twisting the throttle at around 4000-5000 rpm something.
It has not been ridden yet this year. Work and a long lasting cold has stopped that  (My K2 needed to be ridden and get its vehicle inspection done)
Hotel and flight air con can count me out quickly, 1000km on a bike in rain all day long no problem though (the 80's).

H2Eric, Your bike has Candy Bacchus Olive tank cover set, right? I have looked at it at Yamiya for some years now, look nice!

Edit: 998 on side cover is tough!  My bike passed vehicle inspection for last time last April. I could not afford to make them think that I had rebuilt the bike to more power which has ended up in a new registry inspection.... ::)

Frode, you have got your bike to run as you want? I hope you have finalized the build.
It takes some time to find correct jets etc. Ignition can cause jetting issues on low rpm delaying the final as I had last years (too advanced on low) with never ending fuel screw adjustments.

To PeWe any anyone else who may be interested the colour of my bike (K9) is in deed Candy Bacchus Olive. I didn't have any problems with the inspection or insurance authorities in updating the capacity to 998.
Thanks to all for the kind words.
Next upgrade is a set of the M-Tec Chukyo exhausts, they should arrive from Japan next month. Watch this space.

Hi Eric,
Do you plan to do a dyno run before change?
Dyno really recommended to get jetting right. Main jet no problem on the road. The range before, needles especially needs dyno with  a/f meter to verify slow throttling from 2000 on 5:th gear that a street bike can handle when needles and pilots are right.

- Have you installed extra case breather?
I made an extra connection on a clutch cover, 10mm ID hose up under tank between carbs. That solved oil weeps at front around oil filter after some inspired riding. Saw a video on Mike's bike where he had added it.

I have had thoughts to order a tank set in that color several times. Change dress like having another  jacket ;)

My K6 is registered as stock 736 ;)
If bike need to use ensurance, cylinder an improved part compared with NOS Honda.

Thanks Johno,

The billet block only make many interested.

My bike is a little bit louder when I replaced the 4-4 with Hindle 4-2-1.
It pulls much harder now. I did not had time to find the best carb setting this year. I had decided to test until really good from idle. Needle jets were not in stock.
The billet block has done  around 12.000 km so far.

Dyno next spring, aim for +100 whp.
Photo from the last ride this year.

Yes 12000km.
It feels more powerful if riding a stock CB750 now and then.
I had to wait for dyno due to carbs not perfect.

Good to tune correct jet and avoid side effects.
Needles could fix it, causing lean at low lift adjusted by pilots ending up in too rich idle. Fuel screws have their setting regardless of pilots.

Eric bike looks great! What oil cooler do you have on there? It looks pretty small and compact and I notice you can fit it with stock horn in place. Interested to know more!
thanks
Andy

Are those pipes loud? Or they have something that dampen? They look like straight megaphones..  ;D

If you are looking for an exhaust system that is as quiet as a Gold Wing then these pipes are not for you. They are a bit loud, but not as loud as the Carpy 4 into 1 that I had preciously installed. There is a baffle in each pipe, which are available separately as spare parts from Webike Japan, Part No. MRS-H75-M02.

Hi Andy
The oil cooler came from a Honda CBR1000. However, I had the inlet and outlet altered to take the Goodridge fittings. The cooler is attached to the cross member of the frame using a bracket that I made and P-clips.
