Axl's site is still up and running - but with no mention at all of the sad news. It's a shame.

Someone should have put it up there by now.

Any progress Glenn?

No recent progress.

We had a few conversations with someone who is representing the family's interests and it sounded like they wanted to have me take over the English language Satanic Mechanic site for them.  Then there was talk of the paperwork involved in transferring the domain and gaining access to the site host account and that was the last I've heard in the past month or so.  At least the domain registration was paid up for another year.  There is a friend of the family who had offered to take over the German language site; maybe that person decided to take care of all of the sites.

You can find a list of Axl's sites here: http://www.axl.org/

Glenn, you should see if it is possible to put his sohc info on this site. I say you since you have been talking to them already and know more about it than anyone else. Just an idea.

:( Didn't know the man - my loss.  But after reading these 6 pages of tribute, he was obviously a respected friend of many.  RIP - condolences to his family and many friends.

I was thinking more of having his work posted to this site, not just a link. After all, what happens if the site suddenly dies?

Some of the parts info there is amazing.
Not too bad an idea IMO.

Not sure if Glen has room for all of it here though.

Glenn,

I think it is best you copy all of Axel's material.
I am more than happy to translate the German pages into  English.

There was mention of Axl's untimely passing when the news first broke in the Announcements & Updates section of Satanic Mechanic but is no longer there.
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Hey Johnny,

I archived the site a couple of months ago, but was waiting for permission from the family before putting the information up on the sohc4.net website.  They originally gave permission, but the person who has been handling things in Germany hasn't responded to email for weeks.

I don't know how I missed this, I've used Axl's site for years when I come across an old cam or set of pistons etc, and have had a few email conversations with him when I'd ask a question about a particular after-market part, he was a really nice bloke and very helpfull and it's so sad to hear of his untimely passing. Rest In Peace mate. :'(
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
