Funny thing about regret is...... its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.

I can't remember the bikers prayer, something like--May your road always be clear and your handlebars point your way"--sad news Axl, a true blue Honda man.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Man, I don't know what to say.  Never got to meet the man, but he was an inspiration for me and I learned so much from his site.  I'll be thinkin' of him every time I fire up a new engine.  Hope they're loud enough for him to hear it.  Ride in peace bro.

I met Axl in New Orleans....rode my 550 over from Houston hang out with the gang during their "Easy Rider" trip.  We had some good rides around town and a great time down on Bourbon Street.

Till we meet again...we'll miss ya.

MAY THE SUN RISE IN FRONT OF ME

MAY THE RAIN FALL BEHIND ME

AND THE WIND FOLLOW ME

MAY THE ANGELS OF MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS

WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE ME

GUARD MY TRAVELS

FOR THEY KNOW THE PERILS

OF THE ROAD AHEAD OF ME

KEEP ME SAFE THROUGH THE ROUGH CITY STREETS

ON MY WAY TO THE LAND OF SWIRLING TURNS

AND ROLLING HILLS

LET THE COLOURS OF FALL KEEP ME WARM

LET THE EAGLE GUIDE ME TO THE MOUNTAINTOPS

LET THE MOONS LIGHT GUIDE ME

THROUGH THE NIGHT

MAY MY TYRES NOT FAIL ME

NOR MY ENGINE GROW OLD

MAY MY BIKE DRAW LIFE

FROM THE STREAMS I PASS

KEEP MY SEAT SOFT AND MY MIND SHARP

LET THE AIR OF SPRING BREATHE LIFE

INTO MY SOUL

TO JOURNEY TO ANOTHER ADVENTURE

BESIDES MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Wow, totalled shocked. We never know when it's our time. The biking community lost one of a kind and the Honda 750 SOHC community lost the best.

Rest in peace brother. I WILL ride with you one day.

Andy or others, any information on funeral arrangements? I'd like to send my regards.

It has been a weird couple of days, and this breaks it. I have not been feeling quite right and now I know why. We broke bread with Axl in our own home, and I do not want to think about having to tell my wife in the morning. L&G's, he went down with his boots on. And he did a great deal to collect and improve the knowledge base. And that is just our relationship...
Damn.
