Sounds to me like you popped an o-ring.

One thing to remember, constant install and removal of studs can wear the o-rings out quite quickly.

Remedy: Only put one set of studs in at a time ok?

Usually I'd recommend removing a plug and lying on the cylinder to check for spark, in your case PLEASE DON'T!
