Jesus states in the bible that 'It is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than a rich man to get to heaven.



It is my opinion that that is a pretty clear statement.  Also bad news for the pope.

It's my opinion that in those days some reference to camel's were referring to a hair from a camel which is very thick making it difficult but not impossible.

It's also my opinion that people are inherently good and that no matter what religion you belong to you will be at peace and happy with whatever situation you find yourself in, in the afterlife... so enough about religion.

In my opinion, much can be lost when reading a passage outside of its original language and context, and that oftentimes things aren't as simple as they seem.

It is my opinion that Christ is a fictional character, like the Easter Bunny.

It is my opinion that if these Catholic charaties are so great then how come they have extravagent churches and the padre's are running around in BMWs?

It is my opinion that very obvious statements in the bible are obfuscated in order to make them more convenient.

'Ah, well, you see he didn't really mean rich people are going to hell.. obviously there was this thing about camels and hair and stuff... so anyway, we're fine - now about that Bhopal mess...

I don't wish my opinions to cause trouble, but I'm confused why God would discriminate against rich people.  My opinion is that a lot of rich people might be rich for a good reason - they worked hard for it.  Some at least.  In my opinion.

In my opinion, I have yet to see a priest in a BMW. It is also my opinion that Catholic Charities does not fund the "extravagances" of the church!! I also believe even Bart Ehrman believes in the existence of Christ...just not the divine-ness aspect of him.

It is also my opinion that this may become an argument that will go nowhere...
