Hello all.  I am parting out my sandcast CB750 and have received some inquiries bout shipping parts to Japan.  Do any of you recommend a shipper, or have any ball-park ideas as to what it should cost to mail something like a big box with a gas tank, some carbs, brake stuff, etc.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I used USPS. Easy enough and they have a shipping calculator.

Fang,
Not sure about cost but I have a good packing idea for you. My buddy mailed a NOS set of CBX pipes to France and they arrived in perfect condition!!
1- Wrap parts in cloth to protect from chemical heat. 2- Spray in "great stuff" foam from home depot and cover with heavy plastic, let it expand and set parts in before it solidifies so they sink in slightly. 3- Cover with heavy plastic and then more foam, let expand to fill box and seal up. 4- Mail away!!

USPS will be your cheapest option. They used to be even cheaper when surface shipping was still available.

Thanks.  USPS is who I have used in the past.  I was kind of hoping that if I bumped the thread someone might find it and point out a shipper who costs less.

peace and grease,
