i just glanced over this thread did anyone suggest tying it downwhere the seat hooks down in the floorboards
Thats a really good idea, there are usually little clips on the floor, right? Also thinking about slapping together some 2x4 chocks or something that you can wedge into the van, and then tie the bike to.
As far as ramps, if you need to just get a friend and pick it up. I've loaded a 77 550 into the back of a pickup by just picking it up and pushing it in there, and I'm no Hercules.
Once I picked up a 75 KZ440 and took off all the mirrors and plastics and rammed it into the back of a Nissan Pathfinder. It laid on its side, hung out the back, and spilled fluid all over the car all the way from Baltimore to DC. When we got there we just yanked it out and it fell on the ground. Filled it up with gas and it cranked right over, runs fine to this day.
I'm obviously much nicer to bikes now then when I was younger, but this is just an example. Remember, if the bike fits, haul it!
