Georg....... WHAT did you paint that oil tank with?
Hi Benelli,
...I just took 2K paint black and clear coat.
...punched out the fork legs and cleaned them. Think I am going to polish them.
As I took a clother look at the front wheel :-X I found a wrong hub.
Think it is an complete K1 wheel.

Have a good one...Georg

Hey Georg, how are you mate? If that's a late model K0, it will probably have a K0 disc on a K1 hub, I've found a couple like that that were built near the end of the production run, when Honda was just slapping together what parts they had. ;D

HeyTerry, nice to here from You. No it is an early K0 10.69 VIN12xxx, I think that to PO changed the hole front wheel.
I did not checked the front wheel because it has all the other good parts on it like the double cut fender, wrinkle gas tank, the early Tokico 1 and early sandcast gauges so I was blind  ;D and did not checked the rest like the front wheel or the breaking disc, feels like I am getting old Terry ;)
Yes I know that they mixed the parts at the EOP but I think I stil have an complete K0 front wheel but it needs new chrome and new spokes, later!
Right now I can use the K1 frontwheel and swap it when the other one has new chrome on it.Right now I am thinking about the bike color.

Have a good one mate...Georg

No worries Georg, keep an eye on Ebay, lots of folks selling stuff they don't know, I saw a minty K0 front wheel that a seller listed as being a K4 item, I was the only bidder, and I think I got it for around $70 USD? Excellent shiny rim, correct disc, shiny spokes, correct axle, only damage was to the speedo drive gearbox. I asked the seller if he still had the frame, and he said he'd thrown it out? Bugger...... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I had similar luck with the 18x3 Lester for my 750F1. $100 shipped because the seller thought it was a Yamaha wheel.

Yeah mate, you can get lucky, many years ago I bought a ported K0 head with RC cam, and cylinder with RC 836cc pistons that the seller had listed as being CB750F items. Another time I bought a Suzy GS1000 from a wrecker that looked like it had been dragged out of a drain, only because I needed it's starter motor and the seller wouldn't just sell me the starter.

Out of curiosity I took off the cam cover and immediately noticed the Yoshimura cams, so removed the exhaust and realised that the head had been ported very nicely. I lifted the head and saw that it had been bored to 1100cc, with high comp Yoshi pistons, all in perfect condition. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it's a real bonus. ;D

WhyNot2 ensure you have the plug wires routed correctly, beemore than one owner who has mistakenly put it together wrong and it definitely won't run on all four if it will even catch and fire...

The weather was great Saturday but my Honey-Do list was long. Got that crap done and made the wife happy and rode my CB750 down to the shop in the late afternoon. Fired up my Suzie GSX1100G from its long winter hibernation.Started fairly easy after its long nap. Aired up the tires to spec and took the long way home with it. Now the weather is going to be nasty for the next couple few days. Crap again  :D

$50 for the wheel (buy it now, when I realized that I couldn't hit the button fast enough) + $50 for shipping.

I haven't done anything yet. My new brake pads and shoes arrived today. I should've order steel brake lines too, but I forgot. I'll change that next time for sure.

I have no problem changing the front, but I never done the rear brakes before. I'm surprised I didn't find any YouTube videos on the rears. I'm a visual learner.

Thanks but its got a few beauty marks and is heavy, long, and mushy up front but a blast to ride. Lots of raw power. I love these big Suzuki air cooled engines. Got a Bandit 1200 also and for the price a person can pick one up for their a lot of bang for the buck.
Seaweb11 the guy who started this thread also had a red GSX1100G that he seemed to like quite well. Wonder how he is doing nowadays.

It rides, brakes and handles way better then my limits allow. Member Sean still waits for me at the end of the road though :D Weighs about the same as a CB750. Only downside for me is the seat can be a little bit of a nut cutter. At 6'3" with long legs any seat on a bike that has a step built in on it usually does not make for a good fit and this one also slightly tilts towards the tank. Its a green 1999 with less then 11,000 miles and a  keeper. Shown here with Sean's Suzie.

Sean has an 82' GS1100EZ with champagne color paint?!  :) I had one, very nice.
That's a nice looking Bandit 1200;I understand that seat thing,I'm 6'. I usually have a seat covering person soften the transition to where the rear hump section begins. The 82' Suzuki GS450T I have had that.I trimmed the raised-up rear section foam right off.,all the way to the back :D and had the seat recovered.

I changed the front brakes. I need to do the rear, but I'm struggling to get the bike on the center stand haha.

Those old ones were so smooth.

been a few years since ive seen my old cb550 took off the carbs expecting for them to be a mess. surprisingly in good shape, just a few squirts of carp cleaner and they look just how i left them. I ordered new carb bowl gaskets, turn signal flasher, and new rectifier/regulator ( last time i rode, damn battery died after a 40 min ride). installed a new battery and found no power going to my headlight.... The rats nest this bike has for a wiring harness is always fun. I would like to get the bike back to the original airbox as well, damn thing runs too funky on K&N Pods and im sick of playing with it. It will all be worth it if I can get this thing on the road soon.
