As far as I know they are aftermarket chopper tubes but the could be XR600, I used a set of XR350 tubes on another bike years ago which I sold to Terry when I got rid of all my sohc stuff.
. I used to own them years ago with 750 lowers on. I bought them back a couple weeks ago. The guy I got them off also has a chopperised stockish 750 and the digger frame I also sold him. A crafty plan is brewing in my head to get the lot off him along with a stupid long springer front end. I could end up with a dirt bike, stockish chopper and a digger, a bike for all seasons ( as well as the VMAX and the royal tour star cruiser )

I'll venture a guess,that those fork tubes seem like XR600..  I hope you've got them a good set of internals/springs

 I touched up the black engine paint on the Rat Race bike. Filled the tank and cleaned the RC header. I put its battery back in that I borrowed so I could ride the F'nK at the swap meet.

Progressive springs and CB900 dampers for the moment, might put longer travel dampers in later.

Thought I had a small leak around my oil pan, turned out to be a bad seal on my oil pump. Took the pump out ( had to drill out one screw and replaced them with hex after that ). Cleaned it. Checked for clearances. Reassembled mounted it back up. all in 90 minutes.

Had a nice ride after that and no more leaks, pretty good day.

It’s actually foam soundproofing.  I’ve used the 150kg/m3 hardness, which is a little firm.  Glued together in layers with contact adhesive and then cut and shaped with a thin bladed wood saw.  I think that 80kg/m3 that is sold there would be too soft.  But as a first attempt it’s turned out well. I shall be on the lookout for some with a hardness of 120kg/m3.
I’ve attached the seat to the base with velcro.

I did not know it exists.  . Layered my seat up from carpet padding.  But I installed a softer spot under the tail bone - square of regular foam from Joanns.

Speedo mount sorted, needs a bit more work but good.

XR headlight fairing and numberplate yet to be mounted but that's about where it'll go with a LED insert

Where I want the muffler to end up, I've sort of given up on the high level headers running alongside the barrels, the headers will head down as per normal and then the collector will come up to meet the muffler ( not necessarily this one ) where passing small children can lay their innocent young hands upon it

The back guard needs more support even though it'll only carry the weight of a tail light so the solution will be one of those detested cafe racer loops but the bridge under the seat won't be cut, I'll just chop off the ends behind the bridge and weld in the loop which will go round the top/back of the guard exactly like trail bikes used to have, couple of tabs welded on to bolt the guard to. Then find/mount a tail light and fill in all the unused holes with a mix of talcum and epoxy.

Pulled my Suzuki GS1000 out of storage yesterday while working at the shop and thought I would ride it a little to keep it alive since I have not started it yet this year. Popped in a battery and the airbox that goes on top. Actually fired right up. Since things were going so well I aired up the tires and said lets take it out for a spin. Leaving my parking lot I tapped the rear brake down by the main road and the rear brake wanted to lock up.  CRAP !!  Loosened the bleeder to release so looks like the rear master needs attention. Another little chore on my list.

Hey Eric...Thats what happens to us with more bikes than were able to ride!  But should be an easy fix, bet the caliper just needs a good cleaning and flush.

BTW - I see a nice blue Suzi in that pic!  A 500?  Plz put my name on it, want to add it to my collection!

I changed the rear tire on Red - this time dual sport tire.  Deeper thread and heavier tire for the sidecar puller.

Yep its a 1971 T500 with around 2300 miles on her. Not on the chopping block yet but some others are !

i'd rather stick with a disc but i'd prefer something a lot bigger ( and wavy and drilled ) than a stock one, i've already made the adapter for the 4 piston caliper to fit this disc but if i can find a bigger disc i'll just make a new adapter

shocks will probably be 410 or 420mm long

i'd love to do pipes like that but yes, seriously hard ( and expensive ) to do, it's heading down the 80's looking path so hidden then high level is probably closer to what it would have looked like had mr honda built it back then

Today running my rebuilt bike for the first time.
Thank you Mike Rieck for the head work and APE for rebore and supply of Pistons, Webcam63a and cam chain and CR29’s
All seems to be good, lots of oil getting to the head, so really pleased with initial results
