Temp says in the 60's here - took her for a spin on the highway she hasn't seen in a long time - in the rain - mdeium to heavy drops those kinda sting...

Also cranked her to 7 grand on the road after finding out it was just exhaust leaks not valve ticking. Missed many shifts from 1 up to 2 - dang thing.

Got the oil and filter, and paid 20 bucks for 4 "copper gold" exhaust o-rings.
I shoulda grabbed the reynolds wrap and spun some tubes.

Made M12x1.25 adapter for the rented compression tester.

Also started to organize all parts and junk associated with SOHC. I swear it multiplies just by laying on the table.

Found out the battery was bone dry, is why the 750 wouldn't start yesterday.

Was still in the driveway when I got home.

Filled with denatured water and she fired right up.  All is good.

Chilly ride in on her this morn.

But what about the dog?!! :o

Cleaned the carbs on my parts bike k1 that I've decided to put back on the road.  Started up and idles beautifully.  Oh, set the timing too, new fuel lines and filters.

Thought I should fire up the 550 cafe since I plan on riding it this weekend at the Harvest Classic bike show.
Wheeled it out and pushed the button and just heard drrrrrrrrrrr.  Something said about having a spare battery that just happened to be on the trickle charger. Popped it in and bike started right up.
Aired the tires, I'm  ready.

Looking good Georg! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Bummer dude... :-\ It's suprising how well you can go with just the idle screw though! haha.

I locked up the front brake on the way to school this morning at 40mph. ...thought I was going to eat #$%* but somehow kept her up.  I think it was a combination of 32 degree weather and brake dust gunking up the calipers.  Usually when I notice them dragging a little I hit the brakes and they back off......this time they didn't back off  :(  Beat on the calipers 'til I got the pistons depressed enough and rode the rest of the way only using the rear brake.

I've locked it up avoiding people running out into the road on campus doing like 15-20mph but 40 was sketchy....60 would have sucked..

Embarassing nonetheless lol... people behind me must have been like WTF???

is the pinhole in your master cylinder getting clogged? Mine did in my 550 and it was a gradual sticking until one day the front seized completely.

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.
Every time any owner strips whatever precious Honda part the horrified purists parts go up in value. That's not the part that bothers them.
What bothers them is they sat up late at night, their breast full of wonder and estrogen, unable to sleep, dreaming about their lovely darling and all her glory... and next thing you know someone else doesn't share their emotional deluge and their reaction is they must spread their mind museum as far as they possibly can, taking over as much of the real world as possible.

Some idiot in a pickup truck tried pulling out without looking - caught himself, no matter I was ready.

So I come up to the light 30 feet ahead and locked up the back brake @ 5-10 mph squealing it at his windshield behind me, just in case.   ;D

Took the long way home. From work I drove Godzilla to Charlestown West Virginia to cover that state in the World Tour.

Thats #4 state I took the lizzard to. Hopefully I will be able to score DC this weekend.

The total commute home was 120 miles instead of typical 10 or so. My office is one mile down the road but i ride around to warm her up on normal day.

I scored big time on EBay Oz last weekend. I won an auction for a perfect set of Marzocchi USD forks, Brembo floating discs and Brembo calipers from a Ducati Monster. The owner took them off at 3000 miles as he upgraded to Ducati 998 parts, so the parts I scored (for the princely sum of 220 bucks plus postage) look absolutely brand spanking new, and better still, the disc mounting holes are the right size, and line up perfectly with the holes in an early CB750 front hub, soo-poib! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

You better hide when there is a knock on the door as the police will be coming to arrest you for theft.  That is well bought as they say in auction lingo...Larry
