You're lucky, the PO made the changes instead of letting mother nature and father time ravage the bike.  Have fun making it your own.

After few months. Here it is.
-new tires
-seat cover
-euro handlebar
-front and rear sprocket 14/42 with 640 chain
-new plug 8e's
-new batt
-motion pro cables..all
-brakes front/rear (works now)
-rear shocks
-two sides non factory covers
-nos parts lots of nos parts

wait..Actually I have lost my freakin' head again..said the wife

not satisfied with the above look. Will be turning and not returning this into cafe style..

rear fender cut to about 6inches..my cafe seat is being ordered..will be posting that also..soon

bronze bushing

remove this rubber under the washer before doing this or you'll cut or damage it.

this is you friend when removing that nasty stock steering brackets bearing..at least it worked 4 me

you gotta whack this sucker man..top and bottom

these have to be out..top and bottom when you go tapered bearings

balls everywhere..lol

new progressive fork springs. note: it's about 1 inch shorter than stock you have to cut a pvc pipe that came with the springs and place it on top of the spring so it wont bottom out..well it doesn't really b/o: I only weigh 150lb but the ride seemed to be lower on the front..changed fork oil also while your at it.

oh yeah..you have to check out 'craigslist' often! I bought this motor 4 only $100 750f

Ok here's the latest. finally got my cafe seat from classic cycle city. This guys are awesome they specially made and will start selling this cafe seat k8 in the future..pricey but worth it. completely bolt on with no modification needed perfect fit..very light tough material and what else can i say..it looks damn good..

march 14. 10 motor out last week. Right side position worked awesome. I timed myselft and it took about 2 mins to pull the motor out..easy

cow tipping (right side)

to prevent your engine from getting scratch on the floor in case anything happens to you and this 200+ motor; harbor freight sells this portable dolly for only 12 bucks.

u aint that tough motor..f u! f u!

Awesome to see someone else got to get a 77-78 750 seat from Classic Cycle City.

What do you have planned for the back of the bike? Are you going to use the stock fender?

I just resized the fender and customized the rear tail light. I'm very excited right now..getting the frame powder coated and I'm re-buiding the motor and soon I'll be done.. will see :-\
