i recently did a yamaha maxim with a hammered gold rustoleum frame and did the rusto black tank and fenders (see below)
 i think it is pretty sharp... but i dont think i just wanna replicate the same deal on the  78 750 so im thinking i really like some of the maroon bikes i have seen and the black frames are nice but what about a gold or possibly cream colored frame and the maroon tank and fenders (maybe even back fenders with some maroon philagree(filagree?)... so let me know what u think........    and if u know of a similiar color thats cheap lemme know whats up

You don't really want to skip on paint, cheaper paint looks cheaper. Dupont was my favorite line of paint products when I worked in the shop. If you want your paint job to look good and last a long time you should concentrate on quality not price.

I would recommend House of Kolor Shimrin Kandy Basecoat with a gloss clear.

A pint of color will be enough for a bike unless you want some left over for future projects.

I've bought pints from Ebay seller stevensons1 at a reasonable cost.

Don't skimp on paint

edit: oh, and black semi-gloss frame with maroon paint

heres the bike im gonna lose the sissy bar and i got some seat ideas if i can get it figured out in my head... but you think i should leave the viper fairing black, flat black maybe?
