 I did the Gordon's kit on one bike. It came in very handy after I bent a valve.

I did this on my 750. I will make a set of drawings for the parts and cuts if there is enough interest.

This was done by eye as I worked out how to do it.

Made sawsall cuts on about 45Deg then cut the vertical mid supports half way.

Made (4) 3 1/2 inch long solid bars from 1inch barstock.  Ground cordial flat to clear weld inside tube frames.

Cut two 3" pieces of 3/16 x 1 "U" channel.

Clamped it all together and drilled thru to bolt together with saddle washers as shown in pics. the center support is drilled and tapped for M6 screws.

Good job mate, that should work fine. I make something similar, but on top of the threaded slug inside the tubes to keep it rigid, I use a tight fitting sleeve on the outside of the tubes, and I reckon it's as rigid as the frame was before cutting it, and of course with only 1mm cuts, everything can be easily welded back together if the current owner wants to make it 100% original.

It is a pity that some pure stock people see this as a value issue.
Both my CB750 have Franks kit and I do not want to be without it.
I have had frequent use of that upgrade.
Pulling engine for a cam change or head gasket replacement, silly!!

Honda made a mistake, frame kit correct it.

 I'm going to look at a drag bike that had a frame mod with the tubes curved up as in the cb750A except fits within a stock k tank. Not sure about coils though, it may have run a magneto. If I buy it or not I'll try to get a pic.

Let's face it Don, the "A" is just a very impressive bike! (and I'm not just saying that because I want to sell mine......)

I have 2 x Frank’s kits and also 2 x Gordon kits. Both are extremely worth it in my opinion. Makes doing maintenance easy as PeWe has said. They also give me peace of mind and they look professional.
