Ok dam it! I need a life.  :-\ Bikes just about consume all of my waking time. Pulling parts, posting parts on eBay, selling parts here, selling parts on postaroo, packing parts, picking up bikes and then start over.  ??? Vicious cycle, no pun intended.

No matter what I may be distracted with  ::), immeadiately I am thinking to what has to be shipped, what parts to pull next, can I pick up that new score?, and the list goes on.  ::)

Evryone is problably doing something New Years related, I am listening to music on rock.com and posting parts on eBay.

On the rare occasion that I actually have to do something else I build websites and design logos. My cameras spend alot of time at rest because my mind wanders to what still has to be done.

Ok.... So , I work all the time....

However when the weather improves I am an avid paintballer. I have about 6 different guns for different events. Some for scenario, some for competition. My Kingman Spyder has been modified (obsessively by me) to shoot about 32 BPS (balls per second). This is an incredible "race gun" for tourney's. Funny when I stop shooting and the guy thinks I have ducked for cover and he stands up in a whole stream of paintballs   :D ;D.

Ok I got to thinking of it and I do much more. I play guitar (have since I was 8 8). Ibanez and Marshall all the way, I draw both by hand and with computers,  I design new tools and parts, Naturally I paintball ( I run markermods.com) BTW I was at a score today and the guy had heard of my markermods.com website, SWEET  ;D, I also spend time writing programs for CAM parts for things that vary from paintball to motorcycles  ;D. What's more is he wants me to fix his marker.

Hey Teal- would you have any opinions on Sucker Punch Sallys vs Kustom Culture?

Anyhoo, I do a little of this and a little of that at various times; putz around with a bike, clen the garage, do laundry, cook, some embroidery on denim jackets, type love notes to you guys, yard work, ride when ever i can.  We are supposed to have anothe good morning tomorrow so I'm taking the GB out some.  I got the seat done on my 400 and I'm waiting FOREVER on the ding-dong tank.  This will be a slow project. As Michelangelo said, "I'm waiting for the marble to reveal what's inside".
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

OK, since we have more new folks on this board, I figured I'd revive this thread. Aside from our daily jobs, what other hobbies do we have... or does our life revolve around our CB's? :D

Is trying to get laid a hobby or a just a fruitless search? I also play video games, pc and PS2. Other than that, I spend money making my 750 aero shine and now i will be spending money making my cb750 run.

Besides my bikes I live along the Missouri River and I'm a hard core River Rat. I've got 2 boats and spend a lot of time out on the water. Listen to the words of "Redneck Yacht Club", that about sums it up. ;D

I am a Soccer coach. Until two months ago, I sat on three Boards of Directors but managed to extricate myself from that thankless effort. My son started into soccer at age of 5 because Dad didn't want to get up at 4:30 for hockey practices or shell out hundreds for equipment. Then I fell in love with the game. It is probably one of the most frustrating games to coach because the more you learn the more you realise you don't know the half of it. Then you have to figure out where you can learn it or you have to make it up yourself.

Soccer has pretty well consumed our lives for the past 20 years, has given me some amazing memories and helped us get through the tough teen years because we had a common bond. Took up riding and CB's 4 years ago when the kids all ran away from home (moved in with significant others) so I am now on a new voyage of motorcycle discovery and really enjoying it.

I still coach my son's team in Men's League. They are from 17 to 26 yrs and keep me young.

My wife is from the Isle of Man so she has travelled home a lot over the years and now I have started to travel with her a lot more than I used to. I am looking forward to the trip this year for the TT Centennial. A nephew is getting married in Leeds on June 1 so we will do the Lake District for the first week and we head for the island on Sunday June 3.

I have to fix my house up!
Time is short!

Jay B, do you have any pics?  I'm a fan of the Ohio over here.  I love tooling around on the water!

I tried to post a pic myself, but I get a disk quota exceeded error.

I too am into old outboards, currently all Johnson, Evinrude or Elto. My '62 Corvette, old recurve bows (mostly Bear), SxS shotguns (mostly Baker), shotgunning and rifles in general along with reloading. Heavy into muzzleloaders, both rifle and SxS shotguns in either percussion or flint. Refinishing old guns and my active out of the house/shop activity is hunting, mostly bowhunting or with the muzzleloaders. Yep too many hobbies, so little time, never enough money.

That's cool. When the picture uploading is repaired, I plan to post a pic of my motors in the "Let's see your shop" thread.

I was for a few years, but just stopped. I used to always go to the Constatine(sp)Mich. meet and the one a Deleware Lake, Ohio. My oldest is a 1924 Rudder Twin that does need some work on the lower unit. Then I go up from there to a ( I really need to go look!) '32 Johnson 3hp, '39 Pal,'40 Ace,'47 Ranger, '54 15hp (my BIG motor hehe),'67 3hp Johnson folding, '68 6hp, etc., boy, I do need to go look! I have around 12 right now. Dad has 15 motors. Of course you need an old boat to run these on. So I was given a 1960 14' Starcraft. It soon became the free, $300 boat. hehe You know, it had to have new mahgoney seats and replace the oak in the transom, polish the aluminum, new oars and oar locks, all the bolts and fittings are now stainless. You know how it gets out of hand.  :) Opps, forgot about the Coleman collection, you know laterns, stoves, house lighting, etc.

Cool Jonesy...when is the meet? Is there a site for it? That might be a rideable trip for me..
When I'm not on my 750, I sail in the summer (Snipe Class) and used to travel all over the country racing...I also like to dabble in old wooden boats.
In the winter, I Ski and am a member of the National Ski Patrol (first aid's good to know).
In between, I'm a band Dad. My daughter is a Drum Major for the #8 AA band in Michigan, and in the spring she plays Lacross, and has meets every weekend.

Chris,I used to sail allot as a crew in my Dad's Lightening. My Brother and Dad were also big at one time racing Snipes. Currently my Dad is still racing the Lightening and my Brother is racing the Sunfish. My Brother has literally been all over the world(Italy, Santa Dominion(sp), etc. ) racing the Sunfish.

I wasn't anywhere near the level of some of the rock stars that sailed in the big regattas, but I got to know them, and that was fun. The Snipe class is such an inclusive class, I know people who have been in the Olympics, The Pan American Games, People who sail in many other classes, and people from all over the world. My Favorite Regatta was the Dead of Winter in St. Pete over New Years.
You'll never believe this, but the last away regatta I sailed was the Riff-Raff down near Cincinnatti! About 4 years ago, I ran into some health problems, then associated money problems, so sailing just got too expensive..I still have my boat, and plan to do a good referb next spring, but instead of being in a club and all that entails, I think I'll just stick to my "Driveway Yacht Club" and spend the money I had spent on club dues buying sails and going to regattas.

Chris, Constantine MI is along Route 131 just South of Three Rivers, about a half hour North of the Indiana border. We always have the meet at the American Legion hall, conveniently located on the bank of the St. Joseph River. The meet is usually on the 2nd weekend in July. We get a noise permit from the DNR to run open exhaust motors, so all kinds of cool old Merc, Quincy and Champion hydros come out to play... ;D

Waiting for parts, cleaning up parts, sit around making vroom vroom noises with me hands out in front of me. I am addicted to grease and the smell of over rich exhaust, so if I don't ride or wrench I rub my hands over the chain a few dozen times and crack the gas cap.
I farted and made my son cry.

Climbing and hiking (with a little light trout fishing if it's along the way).  Search dog handler (yellow labrador), backcountry paramedic with a technical mountain rescue team, training officer for a rural EMS crew (don't get paid extra, so it's not 'work'?).  Active in the Jewish community teaching in a variety of venues, as well as keeping up my own religious studies.  Interested in history.  Working on a BS in Nursing.  Lot's of this overlaps with work, which I love.  Other stuff, too...though work can intrude at any time and call me away (have a pager and phone surgically attached, it seems at times).  Planning to combine interest in history and the Jewish community with riding.

I build HO and N scale trains (but they're all in boxes from the move 2 years ago  ::) ), model aircraft and cars when I'm not fiddlin with the bike. I also have a Cub Cadet 1420 that I'm trying to fix up a little (read: keep from falling apart). My dad and I get together as often as possible and work on his '65 Mustang. It's slow going but I don't get a lot of weekend time and he's a tight-wad.  ;) ;D I also enjoy playing PC games - especially first-person shooters.
