Muscle, Pony, Sports or Whatever Cars, Post Here!
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:59:43 AM »
Now, This thread is WIDE OPEN for WHATEVER CLASS OF CAR (OR TRUCK) that a person might want to post. Any and ALL phots of them are welcome, whether it's Yours OR what You'd LIKE to have and lets include specs and facts. I'll be back to post my own in awhile, as I have to leave for now. So, besure to recheck this post for whatever I put up here after while. Thank you.  Bill ;)

BTW, Jeff (bucky kat) gets the credit for this thread, cause there was just so much variety going on on his thread and I was probably the worse, at getting off of the subject, so I started THIS one to help out. ;)

Here is my wallpaper on my monitor

And THIS is what it seems like, when I open her up! :o

Not the greatest pic but this was right after I painted on the hood and bumper stripes, painted the chrome trim charcoal...etc:

2008 Mini Cooper S: Sport Suspension, Limited Slip Differential, Aluminum interior trim, LED Shift light installed, Full custom intake, turbo back catless exhaust, O2 bypass, ECU upgrade, Stock turbo housing with larger impeller, Head ported/polished, gasket matched, larger intercooler, larger/smoother boost tubes installed...etc etc

Exterior stuff: Factory Aerokit package, Vinyl stripes removed, white stripes with gold edge painted on hood and down bumper. Webspoke 17" wheels split apart, lip painted same gold as on the hood, centers polished and clearcoated. Wheel arches painted to match the body, chrome trim painted Graphite Grey Pearl, 30%tint.

280hp at the front wheels running premium gas last Dyno run  ;D Blast to drive all day long, great gas mileage and handles like a go-kart!

edit: I'll add some info.

- 2001 Taurus 3.0 engine swap
- Quaife LSD
- eBay intake, K&N filter
- MSDS headers/y-pipe, Magnaflow resonator
- 2005 Taurus UIM swap
- EGR delete
- Custom tune w/ premium
- SPEC Stage 1 destroyed in 20,000 miles, replaced with ClutchNet Stage 3 six-puck sprung-hub clutch. Not fun to drive with

Dyno'd at 193hp/194tq before the new UIM, it'd be an easy 200+ at the wheels afterwards. Ran a 14.6@94 with the slipping clutch, bald tires, and me driving. I never got a chance to try again with those things fixed, I know low 14s would have been easy.

All Right, we're off to a great start. Great looking cars guys and now that you know that I pretty much enjoy seeing and hearing about any type of Car (or Truck), let;'s see and Hear about more. But, you are also going to have to endure MINE as well. ;D

Lots of details on the car, that are interesting and I'll have to get it all down and include it later on. :)

Not the best pictures and they are from the ebay listing. I'll get some of my own

Mine is a 94 Z28 LT1 with T6

Lightly modded best run is 13.8 @ 99 MPH

B&M short throw shifter
throttle body bypass
K&N filter in stock airbox
intake temp sensor relocation

Didn't dyno her but she's probably pushing 8 or 900 RWHP..... heh *mumble* more like 250RWHP *mumble*

If it's not too bold for me to ask, how much did you sell that for? I'm in the market for something similar for another project of mine.

i've decided, when i finally get my finances back into some resemblence of order, i need to build me another hot car. 99% sure it will be either a VW beetle or a type 3 vw (fastback, squareback)

Saw a Studebaker Avanti PUT AWAY a 63' Stingray once. That was a SIGHT to behold!

Used to be a red Studebaker Lark Daytona running around the Little Rock area, with full Avante running gear, including the Paxton Supercharger AND that little car would Haul! :o 8) ;)

Nobody mentions the Mercury Pantera. It's got to be quite a runner AND a Handler as well, with a 351 cleveland mounted mid engine. 8) Don't remember if he's a member here or not, but there is a member over on the hondatwins.net, that uses that as his username AND has one of those cars as well. :)

Pretty cool cars Jeff. 8) I could dig that! I've always wanted to build something like a Duece Coupe or Cobra replica. Only thing is, I'd upset some folks, because IF I could afford to build either one, I'd want to put a HEMI im there  (especially the Cobra). I saw a Cobra once, that, uner the hood was nestled a Fire Breathing 426 Hemi! 8) My kind of car. ;D
