That '65 could use either a solid liftered 273 or a terribly leaned on 440. Elephant power is, of course, the uppermost in solutions. And a nice vintage 6-71 huffer on top would just be icing.

Myself, my first thoughts were a nicely warmed up 318/340/360 smallblock with a a 4sp and posi-traction and a suitable suspension OR a Nicely ? "Leaned on" 383/440 with same drivetrain as mentioned. The things I mentioned, would be slightly possible by me. But the Ultimate, Hemi w/ a 6-71 and the rest of the package to make it somewhat streetable, is WAY out of MY pricerange (but, not out of my dreams
