New Pics. World's most expensive & laborious CB550
« on: February 17, 2010, 01:33:31 PM »
Been a while, but here's some progress on my buddies 550.  We jokingly call it the most expensive CB550.
Custom modified frame and swingarm.  Will have a monoshock.  Pipes are custom stainless.  He even went as far as fabricating the exhaust collars out
of stainless.    So far it weight in at 310 pounds.  Should be a screamin' fun bike when he's done.

Enjoy.

Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Wow! He's spent a good deal of time on that artistic detail (I'm assuming he did it, of course).
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

No joke, that.

Saw it in Cone Engineering's booth at Sema; nice to see it progressing along.

Beautiful Work  :o

Would love to see more pics.  Who did the custom engravings on the covers and legs?  Definitely don't see that every day.

He's got the grips, but is waiting for final assembly before installing those.

Yep the hole in the tank will eventually be a sight glass.

that's getting me drooling. Need more pics and more details. The engravings are stunning. Never seen anything like this before. This is all art. Unbelievable framework and swingarm.
What kind of rim and hub does the rear wheel have?

I love the details on this bike but the head seems way to high above the tank.  Reminds me of a cheetah or horse thats been spooked and is braking to a stop.

thegab, try searching gravers online..

I think the adjuster spring bosses for the long gone brakes should get taken off.. they look so much better without them anyway...
