"Voxonda classic endurance racing 4 fun"
« on: February 25, 2010, 03:18:29 AM »
Happy to announce the establishment of "Voxonda classic endurance racing 4 fun" team. Together with my good friend Piet and his son Maarten we decided to take part in the 4 hours of Spa Classic on June 11, 12 & 13 2010. Both Piet and Maarten will be the drivers and I will act as teammanager. We will take part with a Japauto styled Honda with APE 1000 kit, CR 31's, 63b cam etc. Wire wheels with AP racing calipers.
My own replica will act as a support bike.

Well first off to Daytona to get even more inspired.

Rob :D

Hey Rob,

That's an ambicious plan , you know you have to pay a lot of money to entry for that race.
You need also a lot of money for the fuel and tyres.
This year we are not there because we are on holliday then.
But I will follow this topic with great interest.
Do I know Piet and Maarten ?

You'll have to face hard contenders! With much jonger bikes.
And has René says it is very expensive  :-\...anyway I'll try to go and take a look at it.
i do already wish you good succes. ;)

Hey René and Olivier,

Well Piet, whom you surely know by face, and I share the same boyhood dreams so to speak. It is very expensive but sometimes you got to do what you got to do. To go to Daytona isn't cheap either. But do not want to regret later that I didn't do it.
See it as the olympic thought, to compete is more important then winning.
We always wonder why there are no Japauto replica's in these races. and yet they where very important in the end '60 beginning of the 70's.
We know how to make a CB750 go, not cheap either. (No sponsors??) We will try to make people notice.

Cheers, Rob

Well really got back yesterday. Had a fine "bikeweek" although a bit to much Harleys for my taste. Sorry for that.
The one that Jay Springsteen rode is a true beauty by the way.
We are picking up the "racing 4 fun", now.

Well since we had to postpone our participation in the 4h at Spa, due to lack of preparation time I 'm preppin' my own Japauto replica for a trackday in Croix en ternois in Northern France on May 2nd.
