I missed this thread up until now.  Looks really good!   

Question:  Who did your crank and how long did it take?

i sent the crank and rotor to cyclex, from the time i sent it to the time i got it back was about 5 weeks

I'm not a huge fan of the dual headlight look, but everything turned out pretty tasty! 

What do you think of those Avons?

 i havnt ridden on them enough on this bike to have an opinion but i have them on my other 750 and i dont think you can get a better tire for the money

 thanks, i think that is the best compliment i have received yet, i was definitely influenced by modern street fighter bikes (i love that look).
   not to steal it from another site but i like the term "vintage fighter"

i would also like to see a vid of this thing. bet the motor sounds nasty. its cool to see a gold frame thats what my build has but im gonig a flat black with gold. def saved some pics of your bike for inspration for future builds.

I heard it run..that thing sounds every bit as mean as it looks....absolutely gorgeous and definitely inspirational!

thanks man, i like the way it sounds too, that muffler was kind of a crap shoot but it worked out really well.

and does anyone SELL an oil tank similar to that? i dont have the ability to make one 
and what do you do with the wiring that was there (i know you said the battery is in the seat)?

the tire is facing the right direction according to the arrows on the side

the wiring harness was stripped of all unnecessary wires and i went with a single unit reg/rec
from http://www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com/ that fits nicely under the tank

thanks, i think the headlights give it a modern look but still fit nicely with the rest of the build
  the oil tank is a custom job, you can see pictures of it in progress in the same pics that the unfinished fuel tank is in

 i agree, unfortunately i didnt take near enough pictures during the build and most of the ones that i did take i posted as i went.
 i was just more focused on the actual build, taking pictures did cross my mind but i just couldnt seem to put the tools down and pick the camera up

Thanks MC and thats ok on the front end I am actually in the process of converting my forks to 80 air cap style with a dual disc (80's brakes) spoke front.
