Did some leaktest tonight:) Found out the oiltank/swingarm holds just above 2,5 litres of oil. A bit more then expected :)
With the extra added oil filther there should be more the enough oil. Just one minor leak that should be easy to weld up.
So quite happy with the result... :) :D ;D

I follow closely on this project! very cool. But how do you plan to fill and drain the oil? Are you you worried that the oil will move much forward and back in the swing arm?

Hei:)
Will fill at the top.  Drain/feed, ventilation, and return goes inn at the bottom.Just remove the feed line to drain the tank.. Most of he oil will be in the main tank and ca 0,7 litres in the oilfilter hidden under the swingarm on the feed line. Will remove the filter inside so the filterhousing will hold only oil, and let the oil flow freely:)
You can see there are drilled 3 holes to the arms on the side, if you look closely at the picture. So this will restrict the oil from moving to much in the arm :)

Hi:)
Had a lot to do on the house, and some other time consuming problems :( But almost done with the oiltank/swingarm and are ready to put things together. The plan is to have her ready when summer comes. Will post some new pictures when I got something done :)

Thanks for the interest, will pick your brain when I come to install the microsqirt.:) ?

Some new stuff :)
Decided to change the headlamp from the old Triumph lamp, to a Carpy lamp with inbuilt speedometer.
Got some filters that fitted to the velocitystacks.. :)

is it mph spedo...160 is not inof if it are kmh......denmark are metric and kmt..but opthere..you still use mil..are you still drive in right side like us..
is the summer kome to norvay??..in denmark are the rain periode started..as alvays at schools are closed...have not get my licens yet..så it must vait vith that MJØD...

Summer is here :) Been nice for some days now, but been some rainy days as well.. Yes the speedo is in mph. But will change it till kmph, or just mark up the glass or something.. Schools are out here as well... God sommer  :)

Yes we drive on the same side of the road :) So you should have no problems driving here... And Mjød can wait:)  :)

Lordmember; I have to apologize....I am now believing that it is very feasible to install the Microsquirt fuel management system without the added cost and high amp drawing heated O2 sensor. It will be harder to tune for sure and will take much more time. It is not like a car engine where everything is out of sight...but with a motorcycle ...we are sitting right over the engine. We can hear and see the exhaust...we can hear the engine pinging or laboring. Just using our senses, most of us can "feel" if the engine is sounding strong, different, or not right. We can easily stop and have a quick look at our spark plugs to see if we are tuning in the right direction.

I am building an electronic fuel injected DOHC 900 this coming winter. I am not going to use an O2 sensor on this engine. This will be running as an "open loop" system rather than the "closed loop" which utilizes O2 feedback.

 This will explain things better............

You have to make your own VE table...you enter your own MAP numbers along the left column and your RPM numbers along the bottom. Then you have to put your own numbers in all 144 of them bins. The bin numbers are percentages of the needed fuel you have calculated or guessed for. When the engine MAP and RPM intersect at a certain bin..the ECM will figure out how much fuel to give at that bin, but also takes into account the initial required fuel, throttle position, coolant temp (warm-up only), and air temp. If you used closed loop the ECM would also use info from an O2 sensor. Bottom line....if your engine is running lean at a certain intersect..you make the bin number bigger (adds more fuel). Likewise, if the engine is rich at that intersect..you got to make the bin number smaller (adds less fuel).
For initial starting the ECM only uses a very small correction from the VE table. For starting you have to first get the cranking pulse widths close...then the afterstart enrichment....then the warm-up wizard. Once the engine has warmed to where you have limited the warm-up temp....then and only then does the ECM control completely off of the VE table.
There are also two addition fuel correction things you may want to do later...you can have extra fuel added by how fast or slow you roll on the throttle. Same can be done using Map pressure drop. For initial tuning make sure you dissable these two enrichment's...they will really screw you up fast....(just ask me how I know!!lol)

My VE table would be useless to you...mine is supercharged....totally different animal! I would like to see 750esses table..it should be close to what you need to start tuning with..but no two identical engines will ever run the same anyway.

Utrolig trist og skremmende at noen er i stand til og gjenomføre en slik handling.. Er vel usikre på om det var flere enn en mann..  :( :'(

hey norvay..i got the cbx at next sunday..got it for 47,000.needs nev paint and a lot of polishing..but the engine runs ekstremly fine vith no schrasting and tikking at any rpm...think im ready for norvay next spring..


er det muligt at sætte en bredere stator i generatoren..måske kan man sætte 2 gamle sammen til en stor og vikle den om med mere tråd..er der plads i motoren..jeg kan vikle den for dig ..det er måske bedre end en extern generator..den jeg har  liggende til dig..skal også omvikles den er færdig i statoren

Vet ikke helt om det er plass til flere viklinger i statorhuset. men kan prøve og sjekke:) vil flere vikliner gi bedre lading?

call up weisco or something, they might have some rings to fit...  i work for a piston ring manufacturer, but we don't do automotive/motorcycle rings like that, sadly

as for the welding to the fork tube, i don't know if anyone has attempted it.  i hear welding on the old aluminum can be a bit tricky

You cannot weld the mount for the caliper to the forks because the clearance of the fork tube is only.001 and as soon as you weld that aluminum tube it will shrink and distort and not be round anymore. End of fork leg. Mistake O Grande.

As for the piston rings just measure the piston diameter and the width and depth of the grooves and Wiesco can help you. You need accurate measurements to proceed to find piston rings. Should be no problem.
