How to lose your licence forever.

And the Police bike comes off second best too. >:(
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Someone should tell the cops that they can't break a window with a rubber billi club  ::)
I wonder what goes through the idiots mind thinking they can get away in a situation like that.  Dumb asses.

As soon as that bike went down, out would come the shotgun and out would go the drivers lights.  Forever.

I don't understand the cops' restraint.  The minute he hits that motorbike, it's 'attempted murder of a police officer.'  Time to shoot out the windows and tires.  Do they not carry guns?

In my city, the officer beating on the passanger side window with a baton, would have drawn his/her Glock 9 mm and emptied it into the driver. In my law enforcement opinion, that would be the correct response. There is no difference between using a motor vehicle as a battering ram and shooting at law enforcement. Luckly that driver lives somewhere street  officers are not routinely issued firearms.

Wow, I probably could've kicked the windows out quicker than that... Must've been swinging wet noodles!

I agree, though; around here the driver would've been shot long before the bike got crushed.

In Britain, most cops don't carry guns, mainly because most criminals don't carry guns either.  The last time I was in London, I saw a cop with some kind of sub machine gun.  It looked very odd - like something on the telly.  I suppose you yanks are used to it.

Exactly! This is why I'm an "open carry" supporter. The more people "get used to it" the less chance the .gov has of infringing on our God-given right to self defense.

That scene was recorded in England so probably just like here in New Zealand the cops only get guns if they draw them for a special reason.
Law change coming up soon I believe as the NZ Police Association (cop union) are hammering the govt right now over this.
We have had 7 Police shot in the last few years and we have had more Police killed on duty than the whole of Australia!
Considering we have only 4 million people which is only a city in Aussie our NZ stats are sick!
As the father of a serving Police Officer I will be a bit happier once that Glock stays on his hip. ;D
The cops in the clip are using Asp batons to try to break the windows of the car, they are like a thin steel whip that extends when you flick them out, great for taking out knee joints or elbows but pretty damn useless against auto glass. :D

Yeah.. Something like that would never happen in the US. That driver would most definitely be going to the morgue. I am not usually on the side of the police using excessive force. But in that case, that guy needed a bullet in the head.

Two things I don't understand about the video...

1.   The camera was an in dash unit from a patrol car, the first officer (or two) to try and beat out the windows were in this car, you can see the camera jiggle when the white car backs into it.   So, why did the patrol unit not pin the car?

2. Why the &#%! did the motorcycle travel in front of the unit that was halfway restraining the 'suspect'?   That was about the dumbest thing I think he could do.   In the heat of the moment I'm sure we all want to take out our wire hangers and help out, but really dude...What were you thinking?!

At least they got the guy and it seems no one was injured in that video, now, after the arrest.... ::)

Even without the driver being killed with a quick bullet to the head, they made the arrest.

I'm wondering if the camera is from the second Police motorcycle, you will see in the scene that one of the first responding Officers is a motorcycle cop wearing his helmet still, the second m/c cop arrives just after in time to get his bike flattened.

In the first few secs I see two flashing lights reflecting on the back of the car, one about centered near the plate, the other is on the passenger door, so I think they're pretty wide set.   The camera takes a good hit without much banging around and the camera never leans as if it was put on a side stand...maybe the cop bike is really a trike!

Hmmm... cop trike.   Anybody got a picture of that?

Oh, here it is!   That's how they make arrests without guns!

I don't know about that, she looks fairly arresting to me. ;D
