Hey guys not sure if you're interested but here's a little back story about my CB750... A good friend of mine from Newfoundland bought this bike about 4 years ago and I finally got it after he sold it to another friend of mine who was able to lay it down about 5 times without breaking 20mph... So you could say I rescued it from the potentially very hard life of being a first bike for someone... It's missing all kinds of parts.. engine covers are mix matched from different years... half K half F I think... ignition points had holes in them, carbs were dirty, gas was old, battery flat, brakes locked, the seat was and is "home made" exhaust is dirty/rusty/dented/welded, signals busted off, missing filler door, and side covers, bars straightened with a torch, cracked headlight housing, bad chain and sprockets, loose spokes, missing frame members and a bolt in the primary fuse slot being used as the key... (the ignition plug was hanging down by the engine valve cover jumpered and taped) But it ran with a new battery and gas and for $200 I had my first SOHC... Had no idea what I had my hands on until I did a google search and saw a plethora of Cafe Racers, choppers, drag bikes and restorers... and of course all of you  :D
So hopefully I can achieve everything I want to with this bike... Learned alot here already Thanks everyone![/img]

So I found that my lighting just wasn't adequate so I decided to wire in two relays so I could run an 90w/100w H4 off the stock switch and wow what a difference! even with a stock bulb the relays made it far brighter and it's almost uncalled for with the 90/100 (had to point the light down a bit). I ran 12gauge wire from the battery to the relays with a 30amp inline fuse tucked below the fuse panel, zip tied the wire to the frame as I went and mounted the relays to the headlight ears behind the bucket (putting a viper fairing on so you won't see them  )
I ended up using bullet connectors to make everything easy later... Also should mention that if you want your relay harnesses to not pull out hot glue the wires into the plugs.  DDM kit is next after some other repairs

Got my clubmans ($45 new thanks Regina Motorcycle salvage)  I thought I had a 5 min job on my hands ~buzzer sounds~  quickly found out everything was too long had to reroute the cables so they hung lower and of course i knocked the cable off the throttle lol. anyway here's some pics... also took out the oil gallery plug and tapped it for 1/4" pipe thread... was very easy even with the eventual blow out of the o-ring on the highway  ::) lol

Did some more work today and cleaned the bike up... notice the "tempory" headlight switch.... anyone know where you can just order a switch to solder into the factory controls? Also got my filler door on my tank and have a good enough for now oil pressure gauge  ;D[/img][/img][/img]

I was intrigued by that taillight unit myself.I should mention that I have a K4 frame and engine in the back yard if you need something.
P.S.
Is Dino still doing a good job holding down that stool?
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.
