Thanks to all who serve...
« on: May 29, 2010, 06:20:28 AM »
Getting ready for a long weekend of riding. Want to start by thanking all who have made it possible with their sacrifices, and putting themselves in harm's way.

Never Forget.

;)+1 here as well, gotta alotta family serving right now and alot who have served in the past. It's always and honor to meet and Thank a vet or even ones who are serving now. Before I got letgo from the resturant, I picked up the tab for a 92 year old vietnam and koren war veteren, it was his birthday and God knows that was an unpopular war and they came home to boo's and hisses, I payed for his and his wifes food and shook his hand with a heartfelt smile and thanked him for his service to our country. I can't pay a tab for a vertern anymore but go up to one and shake thier hand and give them a heartfelt thanks from the bottom of your heart, if you ever wanna see a soilder melt that is what you'll get, at least that is what I got was the old vet in tears because some cared enough to thank him. Have a HAPPY AND SAFE MEMORIAL DAY ALL!!! AND THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETERNS AND ONES WHO HAVE SERVED AND ARE SERVING NOW. MAY GOD BLESS YOU RICHLEY. ;)

Got to hand it to the current military personnel, all volunteer and damn good at their jobs, I am proud that I served in the 70's but the dedication and training of the new war fighters is absolutely phenomenal. God bless and protect these exceptional individuals, whichever free world country they serve!

To All The Veterans....

.... From our Revolutionary war against England and every conflict in between
and forward to what the Veterans face now.

May God Bless All of You.  And saying Thank You is the best I can do for your
Standing Strong and Staying Resolute in your Dedication.  My words seem so
small for such feats of Greatness.

Let's not forget the families they left behind either.

Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

My Grandfather was in WWI.
My Father and his two brothers were in WWII.
My Brother was in Vietnam.
They all survived the wars but are gone now.
God rest them and all that are gone and thanks to all who serve now.

We all made it home, this is not a holiday for us.
This holiday is for those men and women who never made it back.

I as well with those who have given all, my husbnads uncle butch was so badley beaten up from vietnam it caused him mental problems since then and finally passed away due to complications from all the srapnal in his body a couple years ago. James Dad was in both koren and vietname and then came home to serve as a crime scene tech with local police department. May God rest thier souls. That's why i joined the PGR. The way I feel about our soilders, I love em dearly and keep them close to my heart. My son put me in tears when he said he wrote to a soilder and was praying for him. I know I have raised my kids right now, they have respect for people they have never meet and are respectful to this day. It makes my heart melt everytime I go on a mission with the PGR. One day the PGR will be standing for James dad and i'll be right there with them, even though he is family, I'd rather honor him with the PGR for what he did to help make our country safe. I raise a Glass to all our fallen hero's and to the ones still with us.

figured i'd post this.

National Moment of Remembrance

"The National Moment of Remembrance, established by Congress, asks Americans wherever they are at 3 p.m., local time, on Memorial Day to pause in an act of national unity (duration: one minute). The time 3 p.m. was chosen because it is the time when most Americans are enjoying their freedoms on the national holiday. The Moment does not replace traditional Memorial Day events; rather it is an act of national unity in which all Americans, alone or with family and friends, honor those who died for our freedom. It will help to reclaim Memorial Day as the sacred and noble holiday it was meant to be. In this shared remembrance, we connect as Americans."

It is the not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is not the poet.
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

The Men and Women who won us those rights, protected those rights. Made the supreme sacrifice for those rights. On this day we honor them.

When you stand in harms way... Freedom tastes a bit different....

Today I honor my friends who died in peace and war... but mostly in peace, simply training to keep our freedoms...
