Good deal BIKE. Those are a high gravity scotch ale, and a double IPA waiting to be dry-hoped.

i'd love to learn how to brew beer one of these days, right now i'm harvesting scuppernogs for wine though.

Three Floyds brewery is about 40min from our house, and I am ashamed to say I have never visited the joint. We had some Drednaught and gumball head lastnight, and it was delicious. My wife and I are staying overnight in NewGlarus next week, in part to visit their outstanding brewery.

Umm, okay.
Everyone needs a beer fridge. Got mine from my parents last year and it usually stocked with Sam Adams, Leinenkugels(sp), or New Castle. But when I am out, it is usually a pint of Guinness. I love that beer.

i got a dorm sized fridge a couple of years ago. it sits in the garage with a satin black paint job and hotrod pinstriping. it holds beer. usually the 24oz cans of budwesier, or PBR when i'm really poor.

I must add my list of favorites, in no particular order:
Hoosier Ma Stout  from Rockbottom in Indianapolis.  13.2% alcohol, dark, and yummy.

Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock.  $20 for one 20 oz bottle, but very much worth the price.  Only brewed twice per year.

Guinness 225th Anniversary Stout

Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest

Leinenkugel's Northwoods (but they don't make it anymore).

Leinenkugel's Honey/Berry:  Mix the Berry Weiss 50/50 with the Honey Weiss in a frozen pint glass, enjoy.  This is probably the only way to drink more than one of the Berry's, they are very sweet.

There are many others, but these are the best for now.

I live 3 minutes from 3 Floyds.  The cool part is you don't even have to go to the brewery - many/most of the local bars and restaurants around here have at least a couple Three Floyds beers.

The restaurant/bar (Three Floyds) is pretty nice with good food.  The last time I went, there was a 20 minute wait just to get in (I left).  They also carry a ton of other very good beers that aren't their own.  My faves are Robert the Bruce (excellent Scottish Ale), Gumball Head, Alpha King and Pride and Joy.

Blue moon is good stuff.  I have a hard time drinking more than 8 oz of beer at a time- the flavor is too strong, but just a little at a time is good. :)

i discovered it at Hooters (i REALLY do go because i like their wings best!) and now, when i buy decent beer once in a while blue moon is what i get. the keg price isnt that much more than bud or coors so when it came time to buy my very first keg over the weekend, i got blue moon. by this evening it ought to be down to 35 degrees and drinkable, FINALLY!
