I'll be pitted with 6 racers from Chicago, one on a Production class CB400F.  I'll be racing my 1976 CB750/836 in Superbike Heavyweight.

Hi guys,
So our buddy Myhondas ( Ray ) made me a great SOHC4 Banner.... it's the SOHC4 logo with all the SOHC bikes listed around the sides .  I'm taking it to Barber and will hang it up in the camping area as soon as I arrive on Thurs eve..... Look out for it, we can use it as a meeting point ( Easy to see it's 3ft. x 11/2ft.)
I would suggest we all meet at 7p.m on Thurs ( for early birds ) also 7pm Fri. and 7pm Sat.... good idea ?
I plan to leave a sign-in sheet under the Banner so you can say that your here and then meet-up at 7pm each evening........... any other ideas anyone?

Look for the Banner in camping lot 'C'.....

Maybe move that meet time up. The official festival activities start winding up around 5 or 5:30 and most folks are looking for dinner or headed to hotel rooms if they are not camping by 6:00 or so. If we are going to make a run for some dinner it might take some time to get everyone rounded up and headed out. I would suggest 6pm at the VJMC display area but everyone else can chime in on that.

I will be leaving out Friday morning and riding down with Tug and his buddy. See if you can not save a bit of room for us Spanner. You have my cell number so feel free to call if we somehow fail to meet up.

Yeah Jason, maybe a better plan, a more central area too I presume as there are several camping areas and kinda spread out according to the map of the place...
O.K. will we do that then ?....... 6pm meet-up at the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Display area on Thurs/Fri/Sat.? as some folks are arriving different days. Lets ride out to eat somewhere would be great IMO.......

Finally, I'm going to make it.   If you guys see a big trailer with "fuller hot rods" all over it stop by.   My buddy will have one of the craziest 550's you'll ever see.
It's awesome to say the least.   Look forward to putting a face to some of the screen names.

If I'm really lucky, I hope to find something to buy and ride back home....who knows

Is it the one with the one off frame, alloy tank, red wheels, and 3D engraved surfaces everywhere including the fork legs and engine covers? If so that thing is killer. I took a bunch of photos of it at the Jet Booth at IMTS in Chicago.

You guys seriously need to see this bike.

So far, it sounds like these will be there:

      jtb (John)
      Ilbikes (Gordon)
      OldScrambler
      DammitDan (Dan)
      hs2K007
      KeithTurk (Keith)
      MidTNJasonF (Jason)
      Bluto (Bill)
      DedHed (Phillip)
      dhodges
      fastbroshi
      Trav-i
      Spanner 1  (possible)
      Fabricator (Chris)
      poorboi
      D
      Ohiocaferacer (Greg)
      Scott S
      tugboat
      MarkCB750
      BigBob
bill440cars (Bill)                  (Also bringing my Daughter & my Dad)

Ok so maybe we can get Bill to double check and update the list.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings we will gather at the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club display area at 6pm Central Time. The VJMC area is on the outside of the main loop road between the entry gate and the swap meet area. There is parking off the edge of the road there and more parking down the hill across from the VJMC canopies. For those that wish we will probably ride out to dinner at least one if not several of those nights.

Spanner will be setting up camp in tent Lot C and will have a SOHC4 Honda Flag proudly hung. He will have a sign in sheet hanging with the flag so people can see who all has checked in. Use the Flag as a rally point at times other than 7pm. I know myself and a few others are going to try and camp in the same area if there is space.

Extended forecast looks amazing. This could be some of the best riding weather we have seen all year. If you are not going to make it you are a loser... Yes I said it Loooooooooooser.

If you would like a phone number in case you can not find everyone I have no problem giving mine out. Just PM me so I do not have to put it out on the net.

I make that list to be 22 SOHC4 members  :o.... my guess is that if even 1/2 that number turn-up, it would be the biggest SOHC4 gathering ever, right?, anyone know?.....

Sorry I haven't been here more, I did double check and update the list, adding greenjeans and that brings it to 23 members and there is at least 1 member coming from the hondatwins.net bunch (I think he is racing a 450 DOHC. So far, it looks as if I'm still in. Things have been pretty complicated for me, off and on Sometimes, there's no problem and then again, like last night, I did not sleep and it is now 4:28AM in Arkansas. Gonna be a LONG day!

Looking forward to seeing you all and, as has been said, "Putting some Faces to Names".

A few of my motor club friends are going out on friday to camp for the weekend (one SOHC4 member on a '72 CB 750) and I'll be heading out there saturday (on my '76 550) with another motor club friend. If you see any dudes, with "The Dirtys" motor club shirts on, that's us. The weather looks to be pretty nice for that weekend, hope everyone makes it out safely!

Got back in this afternoon after a nice ride with Josh and Ray. Had a great time and enjoyed meeting some new folks.

I did not take many pictures but what I did take will be here....

and a few select choices.

Wrong way Bill.

Josh got some goodies and did a few campground upgrades.

I just got home about a half hour ago, woulda been sooner but stopped off to see some family.  Good seeing the folks there I ran into.  Maybe I'll bring the 550 next year if I get it painted.  Did anyone notice a red VFR trailing them for about 100 miles heading west out of Alabama?  That was me :)  You had a 750 with a purple tank in the bed of your truck and an ST1300 and some BMW trailered.

MarkCB750 and I put about a thousand miles on (round trip the senic route) and I have a motorcycle hangover this morning.  It was a great time, nice to meet the fellas from Nashville and Big Bob.
It is a proven fact that modifying a SOHC Honda in any way will bring on the apocalypse.

Well, here's a link to some pictures I took while there.  Now, I wish I could have made it to more of it and caught the whole swap meet too.

Click on a picture and see them all. Sorry I couldn't seem to get them up on here w/o doing it this way.
