Amen to that! A true template of "How to" and a formula for great results and performance. Beautifully executed and uniquely subtle result. One of the only bikes I would have in my garage "built" by someone else.

Well after 4 attempts on eBay and 2 on Craigslist TAO has not sold. This last time the reserve was VERY fair at $5000 and still no takers. Looks like I am holding on to her a bit longer. Must be a sign! I don't "want" to sell it but keeping up with maintenance on 3 bikes sucks when you don't have time and having to move 3 bike to get too anything in my garage is getting old, not to mention 3 insurance plans.

Sorry to hear it Branden. Makes Me wonder if the market for Cafe CB's has peaked.
I'm in a simular situation having three bikes in a single car garage. Basic insurance in BC is over $1000/year/bike so needless to say, they ain't all insured simultaneously. Our auto plan insurance provider can and will sell single day or multi-day permits so they do all get ridden at least.

Maybe the café style is on a downward trend. We need Café Racer TV to start airing again to pick the "scene" up. This bike is a blast to ride so I am not that disappointed I still get to ride her a bit.

It is definitely worth the asking price.  Cafe is here to stay.  Most of the buyers just want an old school looking bike that has that nostalgic feel to it.  I wonder how many bidders on Ebay actually follow through anyway?

As for getting the exact price you want I would sell for less if means someone gets to enjoy the bike, and I don't have to maintain it.  Also, the nice 'new restored look' only last so long if you ride it.


To be honest I would take a few shekels less and be done with it.

I see those listings and fake bids always come to mind. No way that bike sold for 6k and Brandens doesn't hit his 5k reserve!????? His bike is far more superior.  Steve remember that Hack 550 that sold for 6k last month?? A lot of fake bids.

Wait till spring BrandEn than list it.

I think eBay breach and the economy has moved many buyers to other sources or eliminating from bidding. There are several watching but they only bid to give away prices with expectation that you will eventually drop the price to what lowball they bid it to. It is nuts.
Then eBay takes a heavy fee and the tax man gets his slice as added income. You are left holding a small amount than originally and it leaves a bitter taste.

Well said Raf! I got a crazy hair up my butt, listed my 605 and had 2 people bid and retract once they attempted to see where the reserve was set. I pulled the ad and will not deal with it.
