Topic: front sprocket issues

I had to take the chain off and i got it off with little problem but i cannot seen to get the chain and sprocket back on the sprocket shaft.  Any suggestions?

Silly question; but are you lining up the notches on the shaft and front sprocket? Also, I think the proper procedure is to have both front and rear sprockets installed and then the chain is put on. You'll need a chain puller to install the final link. Good luck!

I really wanted to do this without having to break the chain.  There is no master link so I think it is original.

It's gonna be next to impossible to stretch that chain and get that front sprocket back on, if that is indeed an original or old chain, then I suggest changing it since its off anyway. I'm sure you'd rather put on a new chain than have it break and slap a hole in your case. Cause fixing that is really, really sh!tty! Changing the chain is pretty painless anyway, but if you must use the old one then I would suggest loosening the rear wheel axle and moving it as far forward on the swing arm as possible to see if you get enough slack on the chain to get it all on the front sprocket axle. where are your rear adjusters set at... can they be set any looser?

The back tire is off basically and there is plenty slack.  Somehow i managed to take it off but i cannot find that magic angle that allows it to go back in.

I don't think you'll be able to get the rear tire on with the chain on both sprockets, not enough slack to get everything lined back up.

I got it.  I had not taken that weird drain thing out of the sprocket shaft.  And i just rode for the first time in a long time tonight and it did not run properly ran great up to about 3k then felt like it was running out of fuel. Which it may have benn will find out tomorrow.

do you have too much oil in the system? when i got my bike it was filled to the max and couldnt accelerate past 3k

Sweetness, your gonna have to show me that trick. Check ur airbox and cleaner, the oil and clean those carbs if you haven't already. Good luck!
