What would you want from Ontario based get togethers

A couple of nice rides, an occational informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
A little more organized, a few rides, a rally, an informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
Well organized, several regional rides, a couple of group rides , a national ride, informal  meeting places and to feel part of a dedicated group.
Im up for an occational ride and will try to make it to a rally.
I am too busy to commit but will join in whenever possible.

3 weeks away! Are we still on this?
Not sure as to what you are referring. The Vintage Race weekend at Mosport isn't until mid summer.

I missed this !  didnt see a post on it ?   I dont think my Honda will be built by then so its a no go for that but if theres gonna be a swap meet I may try to make it down.
The only confirmed events to the best of my knowledge are
June 17, 18, 19 Vintage Rally Paris ( featured cycle 750SOHC4 )
August 12th, 13th & 14th Mosport Ontario SOHC4 Rally
August 19th /20th Mods & Rockers Toronto
But theres still time to get the boys motivated.
Good Luck

The date hasn't been confirmed yet, but the SOHC-4 relay across the continent carrying Godzilla should be coming through our area sometime around end of May or early June.

And Boner, instead of staying up to watch the wedding, get wrenching on that Honda!

The 60's were great.  Over here in Ontario we wore DOT and rode bigger slopers with toaster-sided tanks.  (And Dot was my mum...she took the pic.  Susan became my sister-in-law...she rode a horse and isn't the one in this pic.)

Those helmets are awesome!  Is that a honda emblem on the front of the gold one?

Actually still have the hair. ;D  Yes, that was a Honda emblem from a tank that I had mounted on it, along with my custom paint job (not the hair).  It was a DOT helmet, BTW.

Has anybody been to Port Dover for Friday the 13th?  I was briefly thinking about going but just saw some videos of it on Youtube.  It looks like countless rows of late model cruisers with a handful of late model "custom" choppers and HD's.  Totally not my scene.  People walking aimlessly about.

Is there a vintage or classic presence at all?

Buddy of mine went last summer (he's a non biker but has a boat nearby) & claimed there were 100,000 & it was packed, it was also a very nice day.  Good boobwatch & lots of cruisers & wild custom jobs (saw his pics). No idea if there is any vintage.  Never been myself, don't have a raging desire but would consider it someday with likeminded SOHCers or buds.

Never made it down this time, the brake line never got in until this afternoon.  The last thing I had to do after re-doing the bike this winter.  The stock line was 3" too short so I had to try finding a SS braided line.... and that wasnt quick.

Two reasons for this post one to keep the ride info up front and in everyones mind and second to hear your thoughts on a suggestion.
First the suggestion.
When riding a vintage cycle around we do sometimes have minor issues / breakdowns what I suggest is that we post a coverage area where we could be available to help out in such a case. We would post what we are willing to help with along with cell #.
Example.
Boner , Pefferlaw / South Lake Simcoe , mechanical skills, all tools, possible trailer. 905 715 4248
There would be no obligation just a chance we may be able to help out.

Second.
Just a reminder
June 17, 18, 19 Vintage Rally Paris ( featured cycle 750SOHC4 )
August 12th, 13th & 14th Mosport Ontario SOHC4 Rally
August 19th /20th Mods & Rockers Toronto
Theres is also the Godzilla ride, date to be announced.

Tintop is arranging the Mosport rally so we should hear something from him soon.

Hey Guys... just a sad heads up.

It's not looking good for me to make the Mosport weekend...  I know I was a big pusher and enthusiast of the event.. and as the time draws near it seems un-doable.

That said... I will need somebody to take over my place in planning the northern route and Pick-up/rendevous points on the way south.

If there's anything I can do to help please don't hesitate to ask!!

Regards,
Brendan
