What would you want from Ontario based get togethers

A couple of nice rides, an occational informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
A little more organized, a few rides, a rally, an informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
Well organized, several regional rides, a couple of group rides , a national ride, informal  meeting places and to feel part of a dedicated group.
Im up for an occational ride and will try to make it to a rally.
I am too busy to commit but will join in whenever possible.

I am dreaming of summer right now... I lived in Toronto and meet up with the Do the Ton crew 1 or 2 times. Now I live in Grimsby. Can't wait to get the bike out again.

Like this section just noticed it now.

Hello Nosepick and welcome! Put some details about yourself and your bike. We love pics!

I grew up in the big smoke (TO) also but I live now between Acton and Erin.

Sure here are a few shots of my ride.
Turns out I am the third owner and bought it with only 3000 miles on the clock.
Had to give it a tune up, new tires and clean out the tank... oh and just polished it up.  ;D
Would love to one day pick up another one in worse shape to fix up and cafe... this one seems too nice stock for me to change anything.  8)

Now I have over 8000 miles on it and love riding it.

You're right, that one is in beautiful, original shape.  Hope to see you out on the road this spring/summer.

Hey "nosepick", that's a really nice-looking 550 you have there, with only 8,000 miles on it!  You are wise to keep it stock in that condition and with those miles.  You should add a post to the "new members" section along with the pictures.

HEY!!  I'm getting ana-raped by insurance companies left and right...and it hurts really bad.

Explanation:
Motorcycle Insurance got canceled on me 4 years ago.   I assumed I was good to go now.... apparently all the companies I deal with want at least 6 years before I can hook back up with them!?!?! WTF?   Anybody know a good insurance company with 3 year forgiveness for cancallation?

I may be one very sad biker this summer.....  Oooooo.... I'm crying right now.....hope one of you fine people know somebody.

Hi Hednut. Age (of the bike) will also be a problem. I was also a non rider for many years. Try these guys. I had a moving violation on 4 wheels but they still insured me. I pay 394 a year. http://homeforchrome.com/classic-motorcycle-insurance.html Good luck. John.

I also have my CB750 insured with Dalton-Timmis (Jevco is the name on the binder you carry with you, for what it's worth). You should be able to get around $500/yr no problem.

Thanks guys....  I tried Dalton-Timmis... great company! Great Prices! Unfortunately they wont take me until it has been 6 years since my cancellation.  And Homeforchrome is actually thru "Dalton-Timmis"...so it puts me in the same BATEAUX (boat).

The search continues.... at this point I wont mind paying more for insurance if it means I'll be able to leagally ride....

I'll let you guys know if I find something....

This is probably too obvious but did you try StateFarm?

It was one of the few that would insure me and the older bike (still on M2 as I have been lazy and not done the exit test yet)

Cool guys! Thanks... I completely forgot about state farm...  hmmmmm!    It's funny!! I just found out that the insurance company that cancelled me...will actually take me back now..."Kingsway General" cause they only care about 3yrs n' clear.

Crazy and a little more expensive but good!

or so I was told by my broker
