Well I took drive out to my buddys place to work on my car yesterday. On the way i passed an old honda trike. thought about stopping but didnt. Then later in the afternoon after my friend and I went to harbor freght, we stoped.

Turned out to be an 84 atc125m and it was beat to hell but ran. He was asking $100, I took home for a bit less than that.

So now i have a new toy.

Yep, death traps for sure... LOL! I had an ATV125 of about that same year, the four-wheeler. Much safer, I'm sure...

nope ive learned to sruvive the crashes.

My buddy has a atc200s that i ride all the time. It has eaten me and thrown me too many times to count. Its even ruined 3 pairs of pants for me.

this one is a bit slower but lighter and about 6" shorter. so it will be interesting.

just sucks that this thing has NO suspension except for the balloon tires.

I used to blast around the woods of Montana on my Kawasaki 250 Tecate 3 wheeler in high school, everyone I knew had 4 wheelers, they thought I was nuts. The thing was so fast & fun, sure I got my ass kicked by it a few times, but that was part of the fun.

anyone know an actual part number for the bearings?

I wanna try and get some skf bearings through work.

They should be 6202 bearings. Go find a Honda parts fich on-line and have a look see.

dont belive so.

a 6202 would be an actual ball bearing one piece. everything else im seeing its a tapper roller bearing and race.

ive ended up just ordering them, set of tires and uni filter for it at ironpony. I love living 3 miles from their store.

Wheel bearings might be tappered however engine bearings are not.

I use to have a 125 three wheeler, and the big red three wheeler ( which i think was the 250). They were a blast growing up. I don't remember what happened to them though...i think my dad traded them out for a project bike....too long ago to remember!!!!

I remember them well. I learned to use a clutch on an 84 200x. That one and the 250r were manual trans. The Tecate might have been too? There is one near me for $500 that looks alot rougher than yours. They were a blast on packed snowmobile trails! Groomers hated them.

I was selling new ATCs when they still had the 'balloon' tires.........The typical buyer would arrive on a Harley followed by his wife and kids in a pickup.........on delivery 'Dad' would demo the bike around the parking lot...or so he thought he would. Upon giving the usual instructions to take it easy I would step to the rear and catch 'Dad' as he popped a wheelie! I always thought that most accidents on turns were caused by a combination of too much speed and grabbing the front brake instead of the rear.

Every farmer around had the yellow Yamaha 200. Those things were always doing a Loooooo0000oooong wheelie. I never rode one. The Big Red was a 200 Im fairly sure.
They had front brakes??

i remember the guy who sold the wheelers to us...he was telling us how dangerous they are..he use to race them....and showing us how to ride them....i remember distinctly that he said," lean to the right as you turn left and lean to the left an you turn right..scoot to the back as you gas it to put more weight on the rear tires for traction!?!?!?"

I was like 10 and was thinking WHAT AT IDIOT!!!!

Don't you remember "Cars", turn left, go right. Best lesson you can learn for anything rear wheel driven in the dirt.
