what is the button for?

just got this cb750 , what is the button for at the top right of the pic??  is that an add on starter button?

almost resembles a choke knob? if its electrical you could always chase down the wires, and see what kind of #$%* the p.o. left for ya! but im pretty sure it aint supposed to be there!

ive been sorting through 8 boxes of parts i got and havnet had a change to chase it, but i was leaning toward an add on pce of carp as well.  thanks guys.
its electrical and says push.  I bet they put it as the starter, but it didnt work when i was getting it running. I was just kick starting it.

You'll want to be careful with that.  It kinda resembles an intermittent ejection seat button.  If it finally works on the test ride it will be an unexpected experience.

ok, i pushed it and two machine guns popped out each side.  luckily it was out of ammo.

i will have front brake soon enough ,  picked up a crap load of parts for a great deal and have some 69 and 70 parts in it,  OH BOY!!!  have side cover badges for sale on here and ebay already.   i had put on here first but no bights so its on ebay.  The first set of emblems that is (Wink).

Well it is where the ignition switch should be so Rocket Boost perhaps
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

actually the ignition has a bracket up by the bar display, but yeah it was an added button.

yes its hanging for now, they had it taped to the frame instead of in the bracket by the console at the bar.  this bike will be taking all apart and powder coated. No worries ill have it back to original by spring i think.
