Well done, gents!  Where in SK is he and do you have "official Zilla Miles" for the "Slept Here" schedule?
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Nice, where are you taking it from there? If it works out I'd like to have it in Seattle on the 11th so I can take it to a vintage motorcycle poker run.

Here's the plan so far.  I'm picking up GZ from Killer Canary around noon tomorrow in North Battleford.  Planning to be back in Calgary by Wednesday, but at the moment, the hand-off to Montana can't happen until the 6th or 7th.  That's what works for ofreen at the moment.  Looks like i may end up with over 600 miles with GZ.  Over 1000 miles possible round trip

tomsweb1, hopefully you see my PM's.  If we can meet up either for the hand-off or on my way back to Calgary, let me know.

Well slight hiccup - but just makes for a better story.  Was heading to my parents place tonight as it's only an hour and a bit from the hand-off point, compared to the 6ish hours on the road today.

Unfortunately, 30 min from home, ignition switch crapped out.  Didn't want to butcher wiring to jerry-rig, so my father came to the rescue.  No pic in the back of his truck, but I did snap one of my 'F' dead at the gas station.

Rebuilding the ignition switch as we speak.  Hand-off should be still on tomorrow around 11 or 12.

OK, the plan is for a handoff 9/7 in the vicinity of Chief Mountain/Babb, MT around noon.  I attached a map of the approximate route from there for those that want to join in.  Send me a PM if you are interested so we can figure out where to meet up.

The Oregon crew should start thinking about what they want to do for a handoff somewhere in Oregon and let me know.

The Oregon crew should start thinking about what they want to do for a handoff somewhere in Oregon and let me know.

I'm out of here tomorrow around noon heading north.  I'll be on the road for 5 or 6 days with no internet access (and probably out of cell phone range much of the time), so if the Oregon crew wants to set up a handoff at the end of that, let me know soon.

Yo coordinator, is there a plan? a map? dates? I'm in California for probably another 2 weeks & would hate to miss the relay. Any chance of putting together a route map and a schedule and maybe a signup?

It's hard to put together a route when not everybody replys to emails or PMs. So to answer your question, no.

I live near Boise so will be cutting across southern Idaho east to west after leaving Wyoming.  So anyplace in eastern Oregon will work great.  I should be back in western Idaho around the 11th or 12th.

Team PNW,

Are you boys ready to ride? Let's get that plan in gear. Get working with Rat on yer plan and make it happen. He's there to help coordinate YOUR ride. I'd like GZ be in Vancouver in approx 2 weeks once Ofreen hands off. Hoping we have some more week day riders like Ofreen. Now, is that possible? Not sure what you guys can do but I have faith! The initial hoped for plan was to be done on the US Labor Day and have a party in Vancouver. GZ will lead you through rain, snow and the dark of night. Just don't let him out drink you young guys  ;) That little SOB can put it away! Us old guys have taught him well  ;) You have Team NZ and Team OZ chomping at the SOHC4 bit  ;D

I posted this in their respective sites:

Hey mates (I find that term strange to use in the US  ;) )

Godzilla is on his final North American leg. I'm thinking that Ofreen will be on the move in a few days and tearing up the Pacific Northwest region. He is a true rider and wastes no time! He should have GZ to Oregon in a few days once they meet again. After Ofreen turns him loose I can't be sure of the events. Follow that on Team Pacific Northwest. Hopefully he'll move swiftly across the US Rocky Mountains then into the Canadian Rockies as we'll begin to see the potential for mountain snowfall once again. I camped in the mountains Sat night and the overnight temp was below freezing. I'm hoping we'll be done within a few weeks. I'm thinking that as our seasonal weather heads downhill you guys/mates should be beginning to have really nice riding weather now?? Once Team PNW completes GZ's journey in Vancouver, BC, Canada we'll ship him to Team Kiwi. Now that's where you'll have to light the fire  ;D

If you guys get GZ in NZ by 10/1 will that give NZ and OZ plenty of time to do both countries before your weather turns bad once again? What would be the theoretical latest start you guys could do in NZ to have proper seasonal riding weather to complete both countries?

Jerry

Sounds like I am going to miss out on this  :(
I am headed to minnesota on thursday and won't be back until Tuesday the 13th.  From what Ofreen posted I am guessing he will be through my area this weekend (10th-12th sometime) while I am away.  If I am wrong about the dates please let me know and good luck otherwise!

It all depends on the Oregon crew. Ofreen said he'd like to hand it off to somebody sometime right after his trip. Somewhere around the 13th-16th. I'm going to start checking in with the people in Portland in hopes of finding a rider. I might get laid off from work, if that happens I'll do all the riding myself if need be.
