I hate being the guy that borrows a bike all the time.

That's my job.

It's almost like a time-share scenario.

Well, my experience has been that I never feel comfortable on someone elses ride. Always afraid that something will break.

I feel similarly about letting someone else ride my bike.  I know it's quirks, but I'm afraid of someone else getting themselves into trouble with it.  I won't ride someone else's bike unless I'm pretty sure I can afford to fix or replace it if I do something stupid.

I wonder if it's what a foster parent feels like?

Does anyone know if there is anything like the MotoGiro closer to us than New York? I'm thinking of doing something like this next year, but I think heading 20 hours North is just a little to far out of range for me.

I don't know but that looks like fun other than being limited to 305cc.

Completely unrelated, but I saw this and it made me think of all the scene kids into whatnot that seem to be everywhere now.  I laughed a lot.

I am a foster parent as my wife and I cannot have our own kids and we cant really afford a private adoption. And that is exactly what it feels like! :D

I guess four parachutes at this point.
Andy, have you tried just whacking the piss out of that assembly with a mallet? That usually gets me where I need to go. Then again, I'm not a clever man.
Also, I found out yesterday that the taco stand I talked about is out of business and up for sale. Any takers?

I ate a place out on School with Adam last year that was pretty good. There isn't much out this way for good tacos other than Las Palmas.

I think the place Adam took you is El Camino Real...good fish tacos!

Either one is good. Columbiamex is probably more authentic.

So a 10mm zirc fitting and some furious pumping of the grease gun got the brake piston out.

This side of the world is ok. I'm having a harder time finding a job than I thought I would, and I'm sick of playing house wife. I'm gonna get my forklift license. It's gonna cost around $350 but the pay is good if I get a job driving a lift. Having a car is almost a must for most jobs. They won't even talk to you if you don't have your own transportation. Kinda sucks. Other than that we're doing pretty well.

I think you would make a pretty wife Adam, but since you don't have a car I wouldn't recommend you for the position.

Coke, I'll be getting a bike soon. Terry from Australia on here is giving me a 76 750k to build. I should get a shed in about a week, then it's just up to Terry to get the bike to me.

Brad, the dream isn't as nice when it's reality. It would be a lot better if I already had the bike to work on.

Hang in there, Adam.  You really are living the dream.  Just a few kinks to iron out with it is all.

I got my brake painted and back together today.  I just got done bleeding it.  It's functioning now, but it's hanging a bit on release.  I think it needs a bit of adjustment still.  But Yay for brakes!

So what's on the menu at the Cafe d'Green next weekend?  Sausage party?

Andy those rubber seals get hard in the caliper and wont let the piston slide back and forth.
