From Jeff Ray at Barber's this AM:

Hi John,

Back from Daytona and other travels.

The program sound like it is shaping up! Do you have an official press release outlining the program? We can arrange for local media coverage if you have something to promote this.

The April 15th Friday afternoon arrival works well. The Track is under contract until 5 PM. We should be able to gain access soon after 5. You ask about camping. How many campers do you anticipate?

The track lap will be a  paced lap by me or one of our track employees. We just completed a trick CBX and a lap around the track on it may be in order!

Keep me informed as things progress………….

Jeff

Do we have an official press release yet?  If not, please PM me your ideas on one and We'll try to get it together.

\Thanks,
John

The hand off in Charlotte NC in front of Panthers stadium to Nikkisixx, Markcb750 and Drones76

Then lunch at Mac's, awesome BBQ. I think this may turn into a tour of great restraunts!

I had a great time on the rally, it up to the NC guys now! Have Fun!

Chad

Hopefully some of the other guys got better pics than me.

It was great meeting up with Cbowers, MarkCB750, and Drones76 for the handoff today.  'Zilla seems well rested and in a good mood.  The wife and I haven't had a night out in six months, so we took advantage of having a sitter and left the baby with the lizard and went on a date.  My daughter is very fond of the piston, BTW.

Godzilla is pissed about the banks and what better way to show his displeasure than with a romp on Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Godzilla enjoyed the sense of fulfillment a little work gave him, but did not think child care was his calling.  Today, he took a job as a shop foreman.  He supervised while a pair of kneecaps from a small time superhero were machined into Honda parts on what appears to be a sewing machine disguised as a lathe.  CBowers - you might notice that Mark brought some string trimmer line.  It is dangling from the shelf  :D

We leave tomorrow at 8:00 AM for Rockingham.  Last call for anyone else in Charlotte that wants to make the trip!

We're on the left as you come the gate, look for a white box trailer with a ladder rack.
If you come in through a different gate, we're between the competitors gate and the gas pumps.
We may be in the staging lanes if not by the truck, have a safe ride guys,

Sam. ;)

Godzilla was spotted in Rockingham today, hitching a ride on yet another SOHC 4!

Some say those aren't his racing leathers - but actually his pale white skin! All we know is, they call him SAM!

Sam was posting some fair times and cutting some darn good lights this morning, especially considering the monster on the back of the bike:

Well, they weren't kidding about us getting snow.  Godzilla was pretty tired from this weekend's trip so enjoyed a little coffee while looking out at the mess, tried to play with the dog (who wasn't impressed) and then took a moment to catch up on some quality reading.  Note to those who will have him visit later, he DOES NOT like to be interrupted while "reading".  The last pic is from Roanoke.  I stopped by a friend's house and he had a sunbather.  Godzilla couldn't help but make friends.

Godzilla at Mabry Mill, Blue Ridge Parkway on 3/25/11 looking for something to eat besides the ducks in the millpond but alas the mill wasn't open yet.
