The bottom left two look the best.  Can you show a few more angles?

+1 on the bottom left two.  Hit them all lightly with a buffing wheel, you might be surprised on how well they clean up.

Those are the best eight out of two sets. No pits and even ware. I'll hit them with a blue buffer to clean them up. Then I'll ship them to cycle x for a coating. I have enough decent rockers to put together another set if anybody is interested in buying them. I can have them coated along with mine.

My rocker arms are on their way back from cycle x. APE said to call back wed. to see if they have the cylinder studs in. The only other piece im missing now is the primary chain. What are your thoughts on replacing it?
A friend of mine just got his motorcycle permit and we found him a 74 550. I rode it a little and boy do i miss mine. I really want to get it back on the road. I have been riding these 125s for to long.

Hard to tell, but I think those look great?  Are you happy with the results for the price?  I think I'll be sending them a set in the near future.

On the subject of primary chains, I've read to go with Honda, and that they should still be carrying them.  They're not cheap though...$100+

Have you sourced the cam chain tensioner pieces?  I just ordered the slipper piece yesterday from a dealer (~$80) because ebay has given me nothing for the last six months of looking.  I found the smaller piece (NOS) earlier this year for $35 IIRC.

Any chance you could take a close up pic of one of those rockers, please?  Is it that dull gray coating?

Thanks

Rockers look very nice ffj.  I expect to get my hard welds from MikeR any day.  Will post a photo, along with the cam & slotted sprocket.

Interesting info on HD stud availability.  Have to keep that in mind when I start on the 500.

I'll admit I'm not the best bargain shopper.  Side effect of being a bachelor I suppose?

Just found this...  Looking forward to reading the whole thing at a later date and watching with interest!

I think I'm going to re use my tensioner parts. They don't look bad

Mileage is unknown. Keep it or replace it?

They look good in the pics, but I think I'd replace them for the piece of mind.  IIRC, the head needs to be removed to replace them.  I would like to hear the opinions of others.
