You mean I have to vote for just 1?  That's not fair, I can't decide which one I like the most.  Hmm, this is gonna be one hard decision to make.

So you want a story? My Gold K1 has a pretty good story.
When I bought this bike it came with a hand made trunk, story was that the original owner bought this bike and rode the heck out of it. That was about all I had to go on. A few years later, when the bike was nearly complete, I found the original owner's last name and some initials painted on the side. After some searching online I found his phone number and was able to get in touch with him. We talked for a few hours about his trips he went on and the bike when he first bought it. Turns out he was an art teacher back in the '70s and had his summers off so he would go on a long trip each year. All of the trips he took on this '71 were pinstriped on the map you see. He said in THREE years he put over 50,000 miles on this bike. He ended up buying a gold wing when they first came out and rode that, he sold this bike in the early 80's to the guy I bought it from.

Although it was pretty dirty when I bought her she cleaned up very very nice. All original parts except for the seat. yes, original Hm300s in dam near MINT shape.

This old gal sure did get around!!!  I'm happy to have found her for sale. She was sitting in the 2nd owners barn since the late 80's. Still ran good but needed some TLC. Atleast the guy waxed all the chrome before storing her. Sure did shine up nice :)

That's a kewl story!  He sure got around on that bike.  You probably won't see a trunk done up like that any more.

You really did a fantastic job on that bike!

Uhh, Sam, never connected that  the A  in Sam 750A was for Automatic. I hear the Automatics suck, but what do I know about them first hand? The drilled out disc on the rear is what sold me, and reading some of your years of posts, of course...

I like the machinist's bikes but it was tough to seee it against the world traveler for me.

I think we will see the runner-ups on BOTM this summer.

I'll start by admitting that I didn't do the brunt of the work to this bike. I'm sure I loose some points for that, but I have to be honest. At least I bought it this way and didn't pay someone to do it. ;) It's got the Cycle X 836 kit. It also has 530 x-ring o-ring chain and sprockets 17/48 teeth, Dyna S ignition with hot coils and wires, heavy duty clutch, webcam 63a cam, new Honda carb boots..... I don't have the list of everything that was done to it with me right now, but that's some of the highlights. It was also Dyno tested to get the right jets on. 75hp and 50 torque, 10.5-1 compression. Since I've gotten it I've put the cycle x (cheap) shocks on it, sanded and painted the headers, new plugs and wires, replaced the whole charging system and a few little things here and there.
Here's some pics from the relay rally. (maybe they'll help me regain the points I lost for not doing most of the work)

Nice Sam!

Took me a bit to figure out that it is an automatic.  Coming out of the hole I could not figure out if the clutch was slipping or the back tire was spinning cause of the wet track.

Too bad you could not have run up against something else that was vintage.
