Nothing against all of the cafe builds, but I'm a fan of the stock stuff. Starting this thread to have a common place for people to post pics of their fairly stock originals or restos. Thought it would be nice to have them showcased all in one place.

I'll start with my '77 CB750F2. Deviates from pure stock in a few ways. Check out my build to find out specifically where.

The only things not from the factory: tires, tubes, plugs, oil filter+bolt, fork seals, petcock assembly, fuel line, and the carb gaskets.

I'm pretty sure that the air filter is the original from 1977 (only 8k miles and it looks good, but yes I am planning to replace it).

Here's mine. It looks stock except for the braided brake hose & reproduction seat, but hiding under the tank is a Boyer Bransden ignition and Dyna coils, and hiding behind the side panel is a solid state Rectifier/Regulator.

Great thread!
Here's my K3 fresh off the trailer.
After I finish the K5 (stock except the exhaust) the K3 will get stripped to the frame and restored.
Remember, it will always be worth more stock.

She's all stock with the following exceptions - paint (duh!) & the 70's aftermarket Japanese 4-1 exhaust which was on it when purchased in 79. The muff was also all chrome until last year when it was restored but not yet rechromed. Hope the pic attachment works to post in the body.

There is something to be said for stock styling IMHO. The styling is
the bike's signature.

Absolutely agree! & these bikes are mostly signed "70's" style, 40 odd years later we get the "thumbs up" from other motorists, or is that just an age thing? (as in, wow, that still runs?) Whatever, it works for us so we love & ride them.

Here are my bikes. The 78K completely done. My reliable rider. Mostly stock except for the obvious, exhaust, and luggage rack.

And my 78F. Just waiting on the tank, side covers and rear cowl to come back from the painter with stock decals and black paint scheme. Again all stock, except for the muffler, and I did put lower bars on it. The seat will be stock as well.

Give me a stocker every time! Here's my two:

1970 CB750KO
1976 CB750k6

There not all stock, but not far from it. One day they will be though

The K6 my everyday rider. I really this bike, here it is with the Mustang seat the PO put on. Comfortable but not very eye pleasing. I now have a factory seat for it. I was going to get factory pipes back on it this year, but as you can see something else came along

The KO that I was lucky to get last month. Some TLC and it will be good to go.

My mostly stock 78 cb 550k the spitfire windsheild is now gone I have a Shoei Fairing on it now
