The Abomination thread!
« on: July 17, 2011, 04:01:47 PM »
This thread is the opposite of the Inspiration Gallery. This bike gave me the idea. When you build a bike it goes through different stages. In the beginning it may look like an abomination but hopefully in the end its an inspiration. I always thought the BWM R80 would be a great platform for a cafe racer but....

and i love the quote from the build.
Quote
i really think i've nailed the cafe racer arse end look. one, with the pea shooters, two, with the cut down bmw cowling which neatly houses, three, the ecliptical cafe racer clear lense led light.

here is one of my own bikes at what i would consider abomination stage

Lets see those abominations, botched cafe racers, the so called bobber and choppers. Bring it on.

Looks like if you hit a big enough pot hole, the wheel would fall off, and the forks would get sent straight to your face!

We do have a lot of Johnsons in this part of the U.S.  Maybe it was his name. ;D  Still, no excuse for this abomination.

My Dad told me, "Just because you can, does not mean you should!"  He wasn't talking about bikes, though.

Looks like we're hitting on two distinct categories of abominations: Structural and Style. AND THEN THERE IS BOTH!!!!! Poor little Yamaha never had a chance! I think you'd get beat up even if you rode this thing to a comic book convention!
