Did a search and couldn't find a thread....

Looking for engine pics. Stock, custom, paint and polish ideas, etc. Bonus points if you have a CB500/550.
I'm looking for paint and polish ideas other than stock, but stock is beautiful, too.

I'm too embarrassed to post mine in here, but maybe subscribing to this thread will give me inspiration for my 500/4 motor rebuild.

Okay...here's a decent one that doesn't show the fading factory paint (still not bad for 40 year old factory paint). I painted my sprocket cover black. The stator cover (not the housing) is also painted black to cover some bad road rash.

Are those etched into the rocker covers? Or is it paint?

Ah its just like my Buell, I keep it meticulously clean, but the aluminum on the engine always starts to show its age. That's why I refuse to make it too clean. I'm not trying to show it just ride the hell out of it. Those are nice ass engines though!

not sure if this is going to load.. i have the lower covers hard anodised on my old 74H1. looked great in person, had a very industrial look and nothing would hurt them.
