Haha thank you! There’s one main road that leads up to my town from Colorado Springs and it winds through a canyon that the train came up. If you look closely you can see where walls were built to support the tracks and you can go down and still get in (by walking) in some of the tunnels. Closer to the towns where the mining was done (and still is) a few of the tunnels are used on fire roads. One has collapsed.

Thanks for the story. I remember book called Blue Rusell, same area I think. Made me look up a lot of old mining pictures.

And speaking of Cripple Creek :)

Cripple Creek is easily my favorite “The Band” song. If Levon’s beat doesn’t get you to tap your feet, you don’t have a pulse. RIP, Levon. Also enjoyed his acting in one of my alltime favorites, “The Right Stuff.” He had a great role in Marky Mark’s, “Shooter” as well.  But I digress.

I think his scene in Shooter is one of the best.

On to fountains now.

The next mark is a gate that is somehow significant.  Like elaborate decoration, size, T rex skull on it, you name it.

For instance, this is a gate of the Pilsner brewery in Pilsen.  Brandenburg gate would count too, haha.

This magnificent stone gate is at the cemetary nearby. It is so nice I halfway expect St. Peter to be waiting on the other side.
The warning sign says that Pokémon players are not welcome, but no similar warning for SOHC4 Photo Scavenger Hunters.
This gate is mighty nice but maybe not significant like the Pilsen gate or the Brandenburg gate. It up to you Prokop.

I think it works, nice gate.  One of the horse farms here has a gate with a metal tree on it,  that was actually the inspiration for this mark.  I will take a picture when I am that way one day :)

Please, call the next mark, Kevin.

OK Prokop, football season is warming up around here. How about your CB next to a football stadium: high school, college, pro, with the name displayed. Bonus for team on field. If you are outside the US and have a rugby field, cricket field, etc., that will do just fine.

Well, it's 11 days past and no stadiums. I went by Ann Arbor today and got a photo of a good size stadium.... and borrowed a sky shot. There are 100,000+ there every home game since I don't know when. I'm not a rabid fan but it is more fun when the home team wins.

Do you all want another mark? Or are you gonna make this one?

Nice! Michigan Stadium used to be on my bucket list, but made it a few years back. VERY impressive building.... and the sound on game day is like nothing I’d experienced prior to or since.  I can see the house that I once pre-gamed at kitty-corner from the golf course. Incredible college town.... an experience I will never forget. Thanks for sharing the ultimate football stadium with your CB. Sure glad I didn’t snap a pic with my CB at some crappy small town ND high school football field.

JV, I went first to the high school stadium at the corner, but there was paving work underway and I couldn't get my CB near enough. Michigan Stadium isn't too far off my usual path and it was nice riding around campus before the semester begins. I was hoping to catch band practice but I missed it. I tried to get the spinning cube but it was fenced out with lots of work by the Union.

I tried to pick an easy mark. The small town HS field will get it done, Go Get It! :)
