I think the reason why I give everyone either a wave or a nod is the same reason why I nod or smile at a lot of the people I work with, whether they're in my department or not.  We're all in this together.  Scooters, trikes and harleys all run the same risk of becoming hood ornaments on cages.  Whether we spent $200 or $20,000 on our rides, we're all out there with our knees in the breeze.

Above what percentage of car parts should people not be waved at?  ;D

That's so much cooler than some I've seen, like the front half of a front wheel drive cavalier or somesuch crap car with a fork and handlebars out front of it.

Sort of an awkward place for a shifter I would think...  I'd wave at that though!

I wouldn't mind having a trike that uses the back 2/3 of a VW van instead of a Bug.  The fun of a trike with the utility of a van. :)

My main concern with those VW trikes would be the small contact patch of the front tyre trying to get all that weight round a corner, they would push real bad at anything more than walking pace.  Deadly in the wet.. :o

I wave at everything.   scooters too...

I'm not an elitist...I really don't care...but I still can't bring myself to 'wave' at the scooter riders.

Rear wheel yes, front wheel no. Next thing you know we'll be waving to street dirt bikes and scooters  ;D

Us Harley guys like Hondas  ;) We all started on the old Hondas as training bikes.

If I'm in a chipper mood I'll wave at pretty much anyone.  If I'm not particularly chipper, then I'll just wave back.

I have to admit that I sometimes don't wave first to scooters, but I'll always wave back.  But by my definition I consider a trike a motorcycle.  It is a cycle and it does have a motor in it.  So I always would wave to a trike.  I'm actually picking up a trike, an H-D Triglide, this weekend.  I realize it's a huge departure from my Hondas but the price is too good to pass it up.  I've always been intrigued with trikes anyway and I'm not really a fan of the conversions, especially the wings and other Japenese bikes.  So if I see you on the road and wave to you I hope you'll wave back.  ;)

I give everyone a wave if you have three or two wheels you risk getting crushed by a cager not paying attention. ;) But I will tell ya this much the dudes on the Harleys here are real snooty and wont wave back. :P And all the folks on scooters look like they are about to fall over cause no one ever waves at em. :D
