1977 CB750K engine
« on: October 14, 2011, 07:44:53 AM »
Is 150 bucks a good deal for a 1977 CB750K engine with no carbs? The guy says it runs with no smoking.

Of course...if I had the engine I would have to find a rolling chassis that it would fit on. Is it worth messing with at all?

I definitely want to add a 750 to my collection..but I am just not sure this is the way to do it.

thanks for any advice,
Jeremy

A spare engine is good to have, especially if you have a bike already in need. You are looking to get into the 750 market. You may be better off waiting for a complete machine in known running condition for your starter experience. Unless you know the guy or the history of that spare engine there is risk involved  ;)

if you can spare the money but i wouldnt count on it... is the kickstart hooked up ... you could at least make sure it turns..... if you really want it offer him 100 bucks

i dont think you will end up finding a frame easy i would keep my eyes peeled for a whole bike... you have to find the carbs, electronics, wheels, and at 100 a peice thing could add up quickly
