My Nephew has a litter of Siberian Huskies with wolf. Their 1/4 wolf.
Here is what will be mine soon as they come of age and I get down to get her.

She's about 4 weeks old now. The Nephew didn't make the Thanksgiving feast this year
because he was home with his pups. ;D Yea, I'm looking forward to getting her.
I haven't come up with a name yet.

Great looking dog.

We ended up with a 1/2 Coyote pup last year. Here she is now, still won't come in the house though ::). She was a wild capture from near an Indian Reservation close to Nanaimo.  Good fun out doors, but not a dog to share a warm hearth with.

She is the fastest animal I have ever seen :o

Good luck with your new family member ;D

BEAUTIFUL puppy!  I want one!

All these cold-weather, wilder breeds have interesting behaviours.  Our sled dog mix (unknown sled dog with maybe Australian shepherd) insists on staying out the colder it gets.  In the summer she doesn't seem to care; it is hot indoors or out, so no matter.  As the temps drop below freezing and the snow arrives, she insists on spending the night out in the backyard.  Won't come in for anything.   ::)  The colder it gets, the more she insists on staying out.  Thunderstorms she prefers to stay close to us, though.

Seaweb, your Coyote looks like a German Shepard Cross. Bet she's really smart.

Med, the Auzzie cross looks like our old Auzzie Shepard/Blue Heeler Cross we lost in
the spring. Whats the dog with the black band?

The new pup will be keep outside for sure, I figure she'll be happy as a lark in
these mild Virginia mountain winters. Might not get cold enough for her.
It does for me though. ;)

I am truly sorry to hear that.  We should only lose these fine companions when their natural time comes.  That's bad enough...

Rocking, the only dog we can pretty confidently identify is the Yelllow Lab; and even he is without papers.  The sled dog/Aussie mix was a rescue dog.  My wife moved out here a month ahead of me almost 7 years ago.  She knew that I had grown up around championship Huskies (neighbour was a breeder) and love sled dogs in general.  She saw Pazzy at the shelter ("just looking, honest!") and knew she would suit me well.  We didn't know the dog is mildly psychotic, but I don't mind.  I'm smitten by her.

The black and white is also a rescue dog.  She came to us off the street.  Had been living among several homes in the area for a while when my wife decided to keep her.  Except for very short hair, she looks to be a Border Collie.  And she has that clever, quick, mischevious intelligence that BCs often have.  OTOH, we know a shepherd outside Beit Shemesh, Israel who has a male that could be her twin brother.  That dog is almost certainly descended from Canaan dogs.  So....go figure!

One daughter has a pure-bred, all black GSD from a breeder in Texas.  Another daughter has a wolf-dog mix that she knew the parents of.  Those are our only dogs whose lineage is known to us for sure.  (Both not at home, thankfully!)

We don't really know the pedigree for any of our animals. We're just grateful for them.

Hey Medic, pure bred doesn't matter a lot in a companion dog. One of the best dogs I ever
was involved with rescuing was a Collie (something) someone dumped out on one of my logging
sites. She followed the horses and me around for a week and I dropped crackers and half
my sandwich each day for her. We were finishing up and I knew I'd have to catch her and I still hadn't
actually petted her. The youngest son was there and i told him she'll probably bite me
but I'm going to grab her so we can take her home. Put her sandwich out in my hand and when
she came up, grabbed her. She never even growled. Brought her home and she was
really only my dog. Would sneak up on strangers and nip em! So an old fellow came around
who needed a dog and ask for Calamity Jane. Took me a few days to decide because I really liked her
but we had 3 other dogs at the time. So he still has her and she's really happy with him too!
I wish I had a picture of her.

With all the in-breeding these days, I really think mutts are the smartest dogs.  Rosie has been trying to teach me French, but I'm a slow learner.

Thats a great looking pup Rocking M, The mother is absolutely stunning.

Seaweb, I love that dog, any idea what the other part of the cross is? She looks to have sighthound lines but thats possibly down to the coyote in her.

Matt and Medic, love your dogs too. Turin, for some reason my compy wont display you pic properly.

Uncle Ernie, lol  :D  I know what you mean, all three of mine are rescued crossbreeds and are far to smart for their own good.

Look forward to pics of him growing up Rocking M, can't wait to see what he turns out like.  :)

Picked up the new pup, Miss Cotton, today.
She rode 3 hours back home in the car and we had
to open the vents and ride with our coats on so she
wouldn't get to hot. ;D ;D

Got home and she, an almost 8 week old pup, let the
Cocker Spaniel, Sambo, know who is boss.  ;D ;D

picture up date to follow.

Nice pups here.  I lost my 13 year old faithful yellow lab Dusty to cancer a couple years ago.  My wife and I started to volunteer at the local humane shelter to get our dog "fix" we needed.  We found Miss Hannah there and I fell pretty hard for her.  She was 8 months old at the time.  She is wonderful.
