Mike or anyone else, i have been wondering what is the piston to cylinder wall clearance with Nikisal coated bores ??
Hey Blue
Mike had the clearance set at .0012 to suit the 72mm MTC pistons that will be going in.

Mike, since there is an absence of space robbing sleeves, exactly how large a bore can you get out of one of your  virgin blocks??? I would think 72mm is not the limit but correct me if i'm wrong.  Or perhaps i should have read the entire thread because i'm sure someone has already asked that question.

TT...they are 71.25. You could put a 74mm piston in there I'd think off hand. That and a 5 mm stroke would bring you to what......... almost 1200cc or so? That would break all sorts of sh!t in a hurry. ;D

Who makes a 74mm piston with the correct wrist pin diameter, valve pocket position and dome height?? I wouldn't mind breaking something just to see how quick i can make my bike run-lol. Well, there's always nitrous- it'll make a short man feel like a giant with just a little shot.

Sorry, I think they are only 73.25mm

stock 736 61mm, 812 64mm, 890 67mm, and the BMF. Guess I should've gotten a picture with the 1000's before I installed the 67mm pistons
