Rode yesterday and looked at it today :(  probably have about 8" of snow since it started 5 hours ago >:(  I can see why many northerners become snow birds as they get older...Larry

Its been a while for me on here.  Lots of winter projects.  Just finished installing a new front tire on my buds S90 and reworking the sticking throttle assembly.  On a more humorous note I did have some entertainment at my local gas station hangout when a gentleman rode in on a K2 550.  Seeing one of our old bikes on the road is uncommon and I had to take a look.  The bike was pretty ratty and dirty with a spray bomb paint job and a beat up 4-1 and was idling way up the scale.  Upon walking up to the pumps and commenting on the model I was informed that it was a real hot bike that had been bored .100 over with a 750 cam and was delivering 120+ horsepower at the rear wheel through a custom six speed transmission.  I was afraid to ask who did all of the custom work.  I had to walk away.  Like they say if you cant say anything good........but then again...it was still on the road making miles instead of laying in a shed or posing on a pedestal so it made my heart feel good!

Made a rear stand. I know they are pretty inexpensive, but I was bored and had some 1" tubing around...

Good job mate, looks great! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yes it does. You just about have to make it custom for a CB, as the off the shelf models are too wide and/or foul the muffler.

Not so much what I did on but what I did for.... ordered SS brake hoses from Slingshot cycles. About 60 + more days to riding season here and my bike is in 100 pieces right now.

That method of battery charging is handy when your on the road. Just remember, dont overdo it.

Helmet looks cool. A mate of mine cuts out sharks teeth to go around the front. Its 3M reflective tape, so looks cool at night, especially to cars.

I made it to fit the bike, but I also made it adjustable (up/down on the upright tubing, in/out where it touches swing arm.) Also can use it for spools as well, as I made adapter plates out of 1/8" steel plates. Ive become the resident motorcycle mechanic for everyone at my station haha.

I got a little closer to finalize my dual disc setup (CB 750 K7). The washers on the left (axle) will be replaced with a collar I get made in a shop.

750K
Did this on my K8(godferry's thinned/drilled rotors), but did the speedo drive plate mod.  the link wobbly sent is for a nice little set.
someone on the board also makes those drive plate adapters.  forgot who. someone might post the name of the member.
You can get/use any 110mm bolts for the rotors,  but will need to clean up the heads for clearance, or, use GL rotor bolts as they already have shorter heads.  some details are in my thread.

thought id try steel wool in my muffler repack for a change, ive used insulation glass wool thats very fine and i think it chokes too easy,it gets rowdy within six months,i figured the coarser steel wool wont block as quick?
wrapped it on with copper wire strand.

then topped it off with some glass wool and pulled down tight with copper wire.

still is a straight through design though.

because some peasants like open and loud exhausts here how it sounds without the tube, its shallow and thin sounding, then listen how much more tuned it sounds with the tube installed, free revving like this doesent reflect the true note of any system though, they need to be loaded.
open then repacked

I think regular steel wool will disintegrate fast Dave. I used it briefly and after about two weeks it was trashed. I was recommended to try stainless steel wool, supposed to not burn up/separate as bad
