took her for about 50 miles and then changed the oil.  I always end up making the biggest mess when draining the reservoir. . .

Ordered a caswell tank sealer for my pin holed spare tank, hope it lives up to the reviews. I hate lining a tank but can't avoid it with this one...

Continued working hard on the 350f project. Should have posted many times until now but this is where i am at today. Finished the cylinder head cover and installed it with the newly polished valve cover.  Bike was in a outdoor shed for 35 years before i got her 2.5 years ago.. Every nut and bolt has been cleaned or replaced.  8k on the meter!

^^^   Looks great, Skidoo ^^^

Mounted this hoist on my garage ceiling.

Then proceeded to rip the K4 apart!

Ropes hold the bars/controls in place when the front end came out.

finished up head gasket removal. lapped valves. painted pipes, dist. cover, frame, head, jugs. purchased honer. flushed case and crank shaft. cleaned out oil pan funk. hmm, there's more but it's making me tired typing about it.
hope you were all equally industrious!

Caswell is good stuff. I lined my tracy body kit with it. It lays out thick which is great for pinholes

My recommendation is to put more in the tank than you are "supposed" to use according to measurements. My long, but only 3.5L tank took the majority of the kit for coverage. It moves slow so get good coverage

^^^Good to hear and I plan on dumping the whole kit in, between the pinholes and the 77-78k extra volume I figured it would need the whole kit.

Yeah you are thinking correctly. The kit specifically says that the volume to surface area coverage is not easy so put extra in

Yep, powdercoated. Unfortunately I was playing with the colors in Lightroom and completely messed it up. It's not gold, it's supposed to be bronze. http://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/UMB-493/

I'll try playing with it some more and get it accurate.

Cut off my muffler to replace the join pipe with a longer one. Is this (bottom pic) too long do you think??

It does make the bike appear longer but my aesthetic preference would be the shorter version. Nice bike! ...Larry

Thanks guys :)  I didn't want to go ahead and weld it on as I also had a feeling it wasn't gonna look right. I was trying to emulate the original supersport muffler and also delete the muffler clamp (by welding the new pipe section to my centre stand bumber instead), but you are right- this aftermarket muffler just doesn't look right that far back on the bike. Looks like I'll have to use the clamp as I cant weld a bracket to the aluminium muffler :(

Yesterday I put my F head together.  The black paint suffered a bit I will have to touch it up when it's warmer.

Time to make a timing wheel.

Still cleaning up a lot of small hardware. Totally stuck on removing the bearings on the main shaft because I can't figure out how to get the clutch basket off it. Please advise in my build thread :)
