Looks great Branden!
The Candy Sapphire Blue was also used on the S90s overseas as well as the CX500 overseas. It is a nice light blue. The candy doesn't color shift like the Sunrise Orange but it is a pretty color and changes some with lighting. It is difficult to photograph the candy paints Honda used, they look so much better in person.

Would imagine a House of Kolor dealer could look up the needed mix for the Subaru colors. Would imagine it is a 3 stage paint like most candy paint if it isn't a straight metallic or pearl.

Branden, S90s, or Sport 90s are a blast! If you get the opportunity to ride one, do so. Small nimble little tiddlers like this are great fun around town or for a relaxing ride in a wooded two lane highway. You can enjoy the scenery more as there top speed is between 50-55 on flat and level in stock trim with a 150-175 pound rider.

I would love to find an S90 in a barn somewhere. I rode the wheels off one of those when I was growing up on the farm. Somewhere along the way it disappeared in the last 35 years. Ah, memories.... RAFster is right. They are fun little bikes!

remember you asking some Qs maybe about powder coater about 2 years ago for your first build which looks awesome! I got back from Korea in Sept and just started my build back up. We should grab a brew sometime maybe with tweakin as well.

chuck the tank on as a mockup and get a full view of all curves then see. Personally I like fender less

I really liked the look of no fender. Then after riding for a bit and getting water in my face I started contemplating fenders and went all stock. Personally I think you should keep it. At least until you are totally done with the bike and then decide. The brace/hoop adds integrity to the forks and has that cool classic look! ( if that's what you want)

I to like the look of no fender on certain bikes. Some bike its looks funny. This will be a weekend sunshine bike so water isn't a concern. I just think the 18" front wheel under a fender made for a 19" wheel looks a little out of place. I am running 78K forks on this bike and I did that because Terry suggested I could run a fork brace. I plan on getting a Tarozzi. If I do decide to run without a fender I will be good to go.

I like the fender. Once the motor and tank are on it will look different and not out of place.
Twin calipers are great for stopping and the stop you from quickly doing anything on the front wheel...

The front fender style is just fine. It’s the large amount of chrome that makes it stand out, especially with the shortened rear fender and non-chrome aftermarket rims. I would suggest a chrome reduction finish such as paint, powder coat or ceramic coat on both fenders. Finish examples are: polished aluminum, satin silver/ grey, stainless steel or just paint to color match your tank. Here’s a painted example (not mine) that caught my eye:

Looks great B, glad Dave could help with the wheels. If I am correct on the vision you have for this bike the fender can look great, and is needed. It just needs to be lowered to fit the wheel better. Not too difficult to do in most cases and I have done this on many Harleys when switching front wheel sizes. Does the fender need to be re chromed? If so it makes it even easier.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. As for all the chrome. Yup. WAY to much. I am waiting to get a little further along with the build to decide what needs to get changed. I plan on coating the headlight bucket black but leaving the trim ring chrome. I also plan on coating the rear fender black but leaving the tail light and plate bracket chrome. Yes the rear fender is shortened. The chrome on the front fender while not the best isn't the worst either. One thing is for sure and that's this fender is not worth the price of re-chroming cuz its got a little ding on the top. I will look today to see what it would take to lower the fender.
